Make An All Dragon Army With New Age Of Sigmar Miniatures

Games Workshop has previewed more from the expanding Mortal Realms of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. This time around, dragons are returning to their Fantasy world with options that allow you to make a full-on, all dragon army!

Leading the way we have a new character. The Knight-Draconis leads the way atop his faithful Draconith as these creatures of the Mortal Realms fulfil their allegiance with Lord Sigmar. I really like these new dragons from Games Workshop which look more traditional compared to their early outings in Age Of Sigmar.

One of the cool things about the Knight-Draconis is that this fellow comes with rules which make Stormdrake Guard Battleline miniatures. That means that you can dive in and make an entire army of dragon riders! As someone who really likes dragons in general, I love the idea of making an entire army of dragons, swooping down onto the battlefield and scorching the foes of Sigmar.
Here are said Stormdrake Guard with their mighty lances at hand. You can also arm these warriors with swords if you prefer getting up close and personal.

These are, once again, awesome. I love the look of their dragons and I think they fit well with the sleeker look of the Thunderstrike armour that the Stormcast Eternals now wear. I am worried about how much it might cost to pick up a set of these Stormdrake Guard but they do look ace.

I think it would be neat to see what people do when it comes to conversion work. These dragons might look good with their Stormcast Eternals riders but imagine if you tweaked them and added Aelves into the mix instead? I really like the idea of Nomads and such mounting up on these and riding to battle for the Cities Of Sigmar.

I like the dragons, and I might buy one, but I will take off the sigmarine and put a High Elf on top – as is right and proper! (Grognard!)
Aye – all I could think when I saw these was how cool they’d look with Dragon Princes Of Caledor on them.
I especially like the middle one by the way.

That is an actual really nice dragon, and in a nice flying stance.
The rider sucks though. Weakest part of the model hands down.
Without the Stormcast on the back, these dragons really seem like they could stand pretty well on their own; if the lizardmen can be a standalone faction without any Stormcast backing them up, why do the dragons need to be glorified mounts?
And until Gee Dubs stops killing its community and fan base, I’m going to be staying away from their new releases, even if they are pretty.
I loved Trish Carden’s S shaped dragons back in the day but these really are terrific.
Its funny, I think these look better than the two bigger ones. These seem less disney/dragonheart and more like mean ass looking little dragons.
