Assassin’s Creed Movie Trailer Arrives!
May 12, 2016 by brennon
If you enjoy a bit of history and playing around with the past then you've probably taken a look at Assassin's Creed at one point or another. The game have always been a fun way of exploring different time periods from the Crusaders onwards and now the movie is coming soon!
The movie stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in the leading roles as we see Abstergo sending another subject back into the past. As the trailer (see above) states it seems like we're back during the period of the Inquisition which was one of much upheaval in Medieval Europe.
Give the trailer a watch and let us know what you think...
Have you tried wargaming with the themes of Assassin's Creed?

Do you have to be of a certain age to get distracted as soon as someone mentions the Spanish Inquisition or do the kids still do it these days?
It went through my mind too haha
well … nobody expects them thesed days, or do they ?
The people making this are going to get so tired of Monty Python jokes over the next couple of months…
Looks like a good one 🙂 can’t wait for this!
Good old monty Python.
I’ve played all the Assassins Creed games, very good plot lines and graphics. The trailer looks bloody awesome and I think Michael Fassbender is the right guy for the roll.
I will be looking forward to the release of this.
The trailer is beautiful visually, yet it’s ruined by Kanye blaring in the background of it all.
It’s as if they couldn’t have chosen a worse song, which means they did this on purpose …
The moment I heard his voice I rolled my eyes. Does hip hop or any western modern style music for that matter match a movie about the spanish inquisition? I think not. Almost every movie that tries to blend hip hop or rap into a foreign or historical setting, such as old western, asian and such tends to fall flat and makes the movie disjointed.
Then again, this is a movie about a game, so it can have almost anything in it, even dinosaurs.
Nice! Now bring us a god of war movie!!
I spotted the Super Hero landing!
I was expecting nothing good to come of this, but this looks actually promising.
But yes, that music does not fit the visuals at all.
This looks pretty fecking horrible. Technically good, I’m sure, but what a bunch of bollocks. Translating a good game to a good movie seems to be almost impossible.
Have we seen poor games turned into good films?
I know I’ve seen great films made from bad books. But i’m trying to think of a game-turned-film that came out better than halfway decent.
??? I don’t know.
Even Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard’s admittedly epic acting skills will be tested to the limited trying to best the computer game adaptation curse. I can feel it practically radiating from this trailer.
Well that didn’t look too bad.
Quick question for everyone:
Has there been a good film based on a videogame franchise yet? I can think of a lot of videogames turned into films, but I can’t think of any that were really good. The best I can come up with is films that were OK.
So… we’re due?
Clue was a good film and that was based on Cluedo
