We are heading back to the Faraway Sea from Steamforged Games, with some more incredibly adorable animals to befriend and embark on some truly magical adventures. Last week, we heard about the playable cats and dogs for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, but this week, we will be talking about some of the new and exotic animals which are looking to make their debut in the game.

Goat Paladin & Kid // The Faraway Sea: Animal Adventures

If you are looking to head into a new adventure with your kids, this may be one to keep your eyes open for. As new playable characters have entered the arena, with goals, koalas, and even bunnies ready to step up and adventure across island to island.

Players will be provided with the opportunity to roleplay as a goat in Faraway Sea, and this stubborn little hot head is certainly going to be a lot of fun to explore. I am generally astounded that I have got this far without talking about the adorable little goat kid.

But remember, goats may be stubborn but they are incredibly proud, so I do not think they will take my "OH MY! Have you seen his tiny little goatee?" comments. They may be ridiculously adorable, but those horns are certainly not a weapon that you will want to come up against, and patronising them by their cute-factor may not be the way forward when befriending a goat.

Koala Druid // The Faraway Sea: Animal Adventures

Feel the constant need to be hungry? Next up is the Koala Druid, and this playable character is sure to keep you on your toes. Koalas are quite well known for sitting up in trees and taking a nap here and there, however in Animal Adventures - this koala is merely storing its energy. Being aligned with nature, the koala takes their time in implementing strategy and pulling inspiration from nature itself. Awaiting for the day to go by, and learning the atmosphere around them. Plus, this little koala does not stop eating. Something needs to pay for all of that brainpower that is in use!

Rabbit Monk // The Faraway Sea: Animal Adventures

Well, aren't bunnies just so damn adorable? That is what they want you to think... These little long-eared ninjas are certainly fierce, with giant feet that can pack quite the punch, with balance and dexterity to become a stubborn warrior. When I think of a ninja bunny, I tend to think of Scourbunny from Pokemon, but this little ninja is keen on adventuring out into the Faraway Sea, as a playable character into the new upcoming adventures.

There have been several more playable characters announced, including a mischievous red panda, a cunning fox and a daring Orangutang. So be sure to head on over to Steamforged Games' website here to read more detail on the above characters, and the new ones arising in the game.

Kraken // The Faraway Sea: Animal Adventures

And do not forget, if you do add a pledge to the Kickstarter, you will immediately be able to get your hands on the most adorable Kraken as a playable character in-game. This will not be available in retail once the campaign has ended.

As much as I am a friend of anything with any type of animal on it, I will be backing this campaign for sure. Corrupting my younger nieces into tabletop games one miniature at a time, with the shiny incentive of adorable animal miniatures and an adventure across the seas with some incredible friends to meet along the way. Plus a perfect opportunity to spend some time with my family painting some truly incredible miniatures.

What RPG games would you recommend playing with younger children?
