Dark Age Scots/Picts & Carolingians Coming To Victrix’s Pillage

Victrix Miniatures previewed a few more updates to their 28mm plastic kits that are on the horizon, supporting their already burgeoning Dark Age range but also their partnership with Noodle Wargames and the wargame, Pillage.

We start with the Scots and Picts that you'll be getting as part of a new plastic set, which now includes ranged options in the form of regular archers and crossbowmen. This should allow you to cover Scots and Picts fighting in the Late Roman period all the way through to the era of the Vikings and their conquests.

The plastic set will now contain both the main Warrior sprue and the Archer/Crossbowmen sprue, which means that you'll have plenty of options within the set for creating skirmishing forces for the likes of SAGA or Pillage. The Scots and Picts are set to be included alongside the Vikings, Franks, Anglo-Saxons, Normans, Bretons and Welsh when Pillage lands so this could be a great starting point.

New Carolingian Miniatures

Sticking with Pillage, you will also be able to get a set of Carolingians from Victrix Miniatures who can slot nicely into your Frankish forces during your games.

The Carolingian Franks will come with both Armoured and Unarmoured versions, so you can use them as warriors for the Viking Age and before if you like. You get those glorious helmet designs in this set alongside ornate shields and stylish armour.

This gives you an idea of the different variants that you can make using this set, which should, once again, give you enough to build your Pillage warbands and more. If you are looking for a new Dark Age wargame, keep an eye out for more from Pillage as Victrix will be releasing it very soon alongside four plastic army boxes.

The plastic army boxes will contain a mix of infantry, cavalry, missile troops and command figures so you can build a solid skirmish force for use in the game.
