Joe Corsaro of Dragon Bait Miniatures is now on Kickstarter with a new set of Retro Sci-Fi Amazons for you to use in games like Hydra Miniatures' Retro Raygun or Star Schlock! Sculpted by Dave Soderquist of Bronze Age Miniatures, there are plenty of miniatures here to create a fun army.

The design of the miniatures fits the style of classic Sci-Fi movies, comics and books from the Mid-20th Century. They have the hot pants, go-go boots and over-the-top helmets that are befitting of the artwork from that period. They also carry rayguns that have been fashioned by some wild minds within the prop department.

All-in-all, there are three sets in the range for you to pick from. The first set (above) features Rumpulans in more relaxed poses alongside an Officer. You could imagine these ladies patrolling the and watching out for intruders on a base somewhere on a planet far, far away.

Rumpulan Set B - Dragon Bait Miniatures

The second of the sets is a bit more dynamic and features Rumpulans who are aiming, firing and watching the flow of battle. The set also comes with a support weapon that could be a Sci-Fi machine gun alongside a Centurion to lead the unit.

The last of the sets is the most retro Sci-Fi thing ever. You can get a set of Jet Scooters, a Scooter Patrol, which could give you some options for covering ground and securing objectives.

I sense that the Jet Scooters might also find themselves in scenarios, as you're hunting down some prisoner that might have escaped from their dungeons. I think these are going to be excellent to paint in all manner of bright, poppy colours.

You can get your hands on these miniatures right now over on Kickstarter, with more to be found over on the Dragon Bait Miniatures website.
