The Third Dropzone Resistance Teaser Takes Flight
July 4, 2014 by dracs
Hawk Wargames have put out the third preview for the new Resistance of Dropzone Commander. Where previously we saw their ground forces, now we get our first glimpse at some of the air support they'll bring to the table.
This is actually less ramshackle than some of the other previews we have seen for the Resistance, although still not as futuristic as the other factions of the game. The model on display here is a sleek fighter jet, of the sort that you might have found in the days of pre-invasion Earth.
They have also previewed this rather fetching looking tank that takes a rather old school design and gives it a few nifty sci-fi additions to fit into the world of Dropzone!
What else are you hoping to see for the Resistance?

Cunning minefields and traps designed to channel and disrupt the superior numbers and technologies of their opponents.
I like the look of that flyer. The tank also look very suitable for an army equipped with outdated equipment.
This stuff looks awesome! Oh dear…DZC or Planetfall? Getting both is impossible due to financial rationality but I’m starting to feel the urge to get one of them. And they both look so tasty.
I’d go for DZC. If you are interested in the UCM or Scourge the starter box is an unbelievably good deal.
I’d wait to see how the Planetfall develops. You can always buy the DZC after making an opinion on both, as right now the Planetfall game is still in the making from what I understand, so there’s little to compare beyond models. The obvious advantage of the PFall is that it’ll have a functional space-land link right from the start since Firestorm Armada exists already.
On the flip side hawk do have a space game in the pipeline.
Yeah but planet fall will have that really f*ing annoying exploding sixes rule
Well..yes. If you can’t stand it, then indeed DZC is better (I think. I haven’t read the rules). However, that’s a subjective issue really. If you don’t like that particular mechanic then yes, spartan rulesets aren’t for you (much like Malifaux isn’t for you if you hate the idea of using cards instead of dice).
I wonder if the fighter jet will have a moveable thrusters? Like a Harrier Jump Jet.
