Grab More Weird Conversion Bitz From Wargames Atlantic
March 11, 2025 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic released a bunch of conversion bits for you to snap up for use with your Sci-Fi and Weird War wargames. Two 28mm sets are available that would be good for adding gribbly bits and pieces to your miniatures, plus a few choice weapons.
Weird War Conversions // Wargames Atlantic
We start with the Weird War Conversions set that comes packed with strange creatures and all kinds of mutations that might have afflicted your poor troops. This set was originally designed for use with The Last War, but you could use it for a myriad of other games that are out there on the market.
The set comes with tentacle arms, alternate animal heads, plus gas mask helmets and trench clubs. You also get the terrifying maggots, plus some very, very large rodents. I wouldn't like to try and call in an exterminator to deal with those.
The second of the plastic sprues is for Death Fields and your Sci-Fi games. This gives you a bunch of weapons and accessories that you can use for enhancing your squads.
Death Fields Upgrades // Wargames Atlantic
This set comes absolutely packed with bits, and there are four of them within the set for you to tinker with. You get Pickelhaube gasmask heads, twenty-four laser rifles, twenty-four bayonets, twenty autoguns/shotguns, twenty-four long-sleeved left arms, twelve bio-prosthetic left arms and eight pistol right arms.
I really like the bio-prosthetic arms, which are going to be great for those looking to add veterans to their collection of soldiers battling on distant planets. A solid option for those who have already been playing around with the Death Fields range.
I should also note that you can also buy a new set of Textured Bases if you want something to stick your miniatures onto!
What do you think of the new accessories kits from Wargames Atlantic?

That sprue… the top one… really BUGS me XD
I own the Death Fields sprue and can confirm it is awesome. The weird war one also looks like something I might pick up from my FLGS. Wargames Atlantic might be my favourite company atm.
In case anyone’s looking at this and wondering how many trench maggots are needed. At least for the solo campaign it’s two. My overspending in this regard may feature in a spring clean challenge.
tl;dr it’s two. You need two trench maggots for the solo campaign
For which game, I mean its not like wormy grub bugs can’t be used else were like for that one army in grim-dark space.
Ah oops. For the Last War.
