More Heroes & Villains Clash This Year For New Marvel: Crisis Protocol

Atomic Mass Games aren't just kicking ass and taking names in the sphere of Star Wars. They are also adding loads of new characters and sets to Marvel: Crisis Protocol, including some new starter options for those looking to get stuck into the game.
Starter Sets // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
The new Starter Sets are designed as a good way for you to get stuck into Marvel: Crisis Protocol if you don't fancy the roster from the main Earth's Mightiest Core Set. I can already see the X-Men one being incredibly hard to get your hands on, featuring a lot of well-loved miniatures from the range. It gives you a good set of both heroes and anti-heroes/villains from the X-Men comics for you to make into one OR two teams.
The second set features a proper rogue's gallery of miniatures for you to throw against the Web Warriors! As a fan of the 90s cartoon, it's great to see so many of these colourful characters popping up for folks to sink their teeth into.
Web Warriors
Talking of Spider-Man and his allies, there are loads of new miniatures on the way for fans of web-slinging. For example, if you want to introduce some amazing characters then you can get a set featuring Silk, Spider-Noir and finally, Spider-Ham!

These miniatures look brilliant and Atomic Mass Games really are delving into the corners of Marvel history for these miniatures! It's so good to see more of the Spider-Verse characters popping up, in particular. Sticking with that theme, there is also a second set featuring Spider-Man 2099, Prowler and Ultimate Spider-Man. The sculpt for Prowler is particularly amazing!

I have found that the Marvel: Crisis Protocol miniatures paint up really nicely, even some of the more intricate ones. Putting together some of the more dynamic sculpts can occasionally be a bit of a task but I've found that the more modern plastic kits go together well indeed. It certainly captures the frenetic action of the Marvel comics.
Cosmic Power & Street Level Skirmishers
Looking back at some of the older previews from the end of last year, we also got a proper look at the finished and painted version of Phoenix and Phoenix Unleashed.
Phoenix & Phoenix Unleashed // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
The miniatures look brilliant and are no doubt going to be a challenge for you to face when diving into your games. If you don't want to go with Phoenix as your next project then you might be drawn in by some of these other packs like this one containing Avalance, Exodus & Lady Mastermind.

You might also like the look of Blue Marvel & Spectrum, which is a pack I particularly like. I think they've done a great job of capturing the character of both heroes and playing around with the "effects" in a smart way.
Blue Marvel & Spectrum // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
The blue swirling up around Blue Marvel is brilliant, and I love that Spectrum's power is shown in the shattered ground beneath her as well as in her stance.
Hitting the streets, you can also get your hands on a triple-threat of Echo, Ronin & Tigra who are preparing their blades and claws for a fight.
Echo, Ronin & Tigra // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
Echo and Tigra are looking pretty ace but I think my favourite of the bunch has to be Ronin. He's got a super cool "superhero landing" pose and you can also play around with an alternative head option for him so you can show Clint Barton kicking ass and taking names without the mask.

All of this is coming out over the course of 2025 and into 2026. There might be a little bit of a wait for some of your favourite heroes and villains, but Atomic Mass is properly pouring on the love for the game, and they're starting to delve into even more nooks and crannies within the Marvel Universe.
The real question is, when do we get the Fantastic Four?

The X-men box looks really good.
Oh yes…
X-Men!
Yes – they just need to stay in stock long enough for me to buy them!
They should have done the starter packs from the beginning, but I am glad they are here now. The two I was actually interested in – X-men and Spiderman. Now they need to collect everything else and put them in starter packs and affiliation packs as well – and reduce the price! (very important).
I’m not too sure about the price, but having a single box with ‘all’ of the minis for a team/faction is something that would have convinced me ages ago.
This would at least save me from having to hunt down all the single packs one by one, which given the terrible availability is a good thing too.
So excited to paint up all the new Web Warriors. Spider-Ham for the win!
