Hobday & Hicks Preview Fantasy Supplement Rulebook, Warhost
November 27, 2024 by brennon
In the wake of their Kickstarter for their Orcs Vs Elves Fantasy Skirmish range, Hobday & Hicks have revealed the full title for their supplement. Warhost is getting worked on in the background right now alongside the miniatures range for release in 2025.
Warhost // Hobday & Hicks
The core of the rules for Warhost come from The Barons' War by Andy Hobday but with a few tweaks here and there to include magic and the diverse nature of Fantasy factions like Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and the Undead alongside regular ol' Humans.
There will be full rules for building warbands for each of these races with plans to expand them in the future. Both Hobday and Hicks are keen to dive deeper into this world and explore it in more detail so there will more information on the world, the life of the common people, the armies of this realm and more as the supplement develops.

The final section of the game is given over to the Battle For The Bylands and three scenarios that can be used as your first campaign. The campaign has been specifically written to complement the range of miniatures from Paul Hicks but of course, you can always pick up any miniatures you have in your collection.
Could you be tempted to snap up Warhost for your Fantasy skirmish games?

Oh so this game does have a name: Warhost, Not The Barons’ War Fantasy Skirmish. Cool.
I think they realised “The Barons’ War Fantasy Skirmish” would be quite the hard search
Looking forward to this, should be great fun. Love the Paul Hicks orcs too, the character old the old Perry metals but with Paul’s signature style and Tolkien inspiration, far better than the digital stuff Gwulla now churns out for MESBG.
