LaFig Miniatures are currently on Kickstarter, expanding their world of Düsterbourg with some new 28mm miniatures. This time, they are introducing the Buccaneers of Düsterbourg, a band of scallywags and pirates for use in your skirmish games.

The miniatures have been sculpted by Alessio Cisbani, and you can buy them as 28mm metal miniatures, OR you can go with 3D printed options in 28mm or 32mm. The miniatures have been scanned by LaFig, so you get that hand-sculpted look but via your home printer.

The set comes with ten miniatures to represent your pirate warband, which will eventually become part of the growing world of Düsterbourg, a new skirmish game being worked on by LaFig. There will be six warbands in total once the campaigns have finished, but right now, these would be perfect for a mixture of different skirmish games.

As well as the ten pirates being led by a dashing Guybrush Threepwood-type, you can also get the add-on for the Ogre Brute who could help swing the fight in your favour during a boarding action.

As well as the Ogre, backers of the campaign can also get their hands on some 3D printed content, including a small ship and rowing boat for use in your skirmishes,s plus a crane and platform which could be a dock that you're aiming for. Bonus options are also getting unlocked as the campaign progresses.

Last but not least, you can also get the first warband for the world of Düsterbourg in the form of the Sons of the Desert.

Much like with the pirates, these Arabian Nights-inspired figures will be great for a range of other skirmish games before you end up using them for Düsterbourg. The figures look fantastic and should be fun for those seeking alternative miniatures for Fantasy adventures on the tabletop.

Could you be tempted to dive into some piratical shenanigans with LaFig?
