More Metals for Waterloo Make War on Perry’s Workbench

Perry Miniatures may be hard at work with their sculpts for Peter Jackson's diorama, but they still have a couple of pieces for their collection of cinematic Waterloo vignettes taking shape on their workbench.

First up is an interesting depiction of another struggle for a company's Eagle. Secure the Colour!

Here Perry have recreated a scene where an officer desperately claims the enemy's colours for his own. Repeatedly.

It's a very dramatic set of sculpts that can go together to make a fantastic diorama, or as unique components in larger units. I love that Perry are basing these upon actual accounts. This account in particular gives us a great idea of just what the officer in question was like.

Leading the charge though is the brilliantly named Major-General Sir William Ponsonby and his staff.

As you can see from the account, Ponsonby, despite having the greatest name ever, sadly didn't survive the charge. However, the miniatures still make for a very cinematic command, capable of leading any cavalry charge in your tabletop Napoleonic battles.
