Mortian are planning to come to Kickstarter soon to raise funds to make a Cyberrats Army that you could use in your Sci-Fi wargames on the tabletop. A few concept pieces have been flying around as well as renders.

Cyberrat Render #1 - Mortian

Cyberrat Rat Ogre Work-In-Progress Render

This shows off one of the original concepts for their Rat Ogre-style miniature. The idea is to have a few different Rat Ogres which come armed with both close combat weapons and ranged weapons as you can see above here. As well as this creature without a mask, there was another render shown off on social media recently.

Cyberrat Render #2 - Mortian

Cyberrat Rat Ogre With Helmet

This shows off a more refined version of the model with a few more details worked into the design. You can see that the armour has been tweaked here and there as well as a few more options added to the backpack which is just festooned with explosives!

Mortian - From Render To Miniature

This then turned into this sample miniature which is going to be sent off to be painted for the Kickstarter campaign.

Cyberrat Rat Ogre Miniature

I think this looks bloomin' awesome and would be a great way to represent heavy weapons as part of a wider Cyberrat force. The grimdark world is crying out for more creatures to come and undermine the Imperium and these would be a really nice shout. You could also, of course, use these as part of a Veer-Myn force in something like Warpath or Deadzone too.

More concept art for this upcoming Kickstarter can be found HERE. If this idea has got your attention then stay tuned as I'm looking forward to seeing what else comes together for this campaign. I am very interested in seeing how the vehicles and regular Cyberrats turn out.

What do you think of this early work?
