New Border Wars Characters & Vignettes From Flags Of War

Flags of War has introduced some new sets to their collection for Border Wars: Under A Reiver Moon. There are some great new characters for you to introduce to your collection in 28mm scale, as well as some nice vignettes that could set up good scenarios.

Veterans of the Land // Border Wars

Leading the way, we have the Veterans of the Land, which introduces some more grizzled soldiers for you to include within your Border Wars skirmishes. You have a Veteran Marksman and a Returned Veteran alongside the mounted/dismounted Border Ranger, who appears to have gone old school with their weapon of choice.

Lastly, there is the Falconer who has probably seen a lot of fighting and then ended up in the employ of some gentleman landowner. I sense that the Falconer might end up getting dragged back into the fighting, regardless of whether they want to or not.

A great scenario set from Flags of War is The Daring Escape.

This set comes with three rescuers who have decided to cloak up so they can see if they can rescue some poor noble who has been incarcerated. You have the miniatures representing the rescuers as they sneak and fight their way into a castle and then a variant of one of them who has shouldered his burden! Some great miniatures that would be fun for those seeking new scenario ideas.

As they are making their rescue attempt, they might end up coming up against some NPCs that either need to be "dealt with" or persuaded to keep their mouths shut. These Keepers of the House would be great for that.

Make sure you avoid these ladies who know all of the nooks and crannies of the house that you're infiltrating. One of them looks very matronly and could easily give you a good bruise with that plate!

Last but not least, we have Border Ba Brothers, which is another of the smaller vignette-style sets from Border Wars.

A pair of fellows looking to have a bit of a kick about before getting back to the fighting. There are quite a lot of fun sets from the folks at Flags of War, which would be great for setting the scene before diving into a proper skirmish. You could easily make the calm before the storm.
