If you were a fan of Fallout: Factions and the Battle for Nuka-World Starter Set then you can now get your hands on the Fallout: Factions Core Rulebook, which is available to pre-order physically and download digitally in PDF form from Modiphius.

If you've not checked out Fallout: Factions, it's a skirmish-level wargame for two players where you take control of Wastelander warbands vying for power in the Fallout universe. Whilst Nuka-World focused on the fighting between different gangs, the Core Rulebook then expands on this with a full selection of iconic factions from the Fallout universe. All of this is tied into several games that take place over the course of an intricate campaign system.

The book contains all of the rules for teaching you how to play, the full campaign system and options for the various factions of Fallout. The Nuka-World Starter Set would be a solid starting point, but when twinned with the Rulebook, you'll be able to take a few next steps towards diving deeper into what Factions has to offer.

The Rulebook breaks down into a Wasteland introduction, the core rules for gameplay, how to set up your games with interesting scenarios, a breakdown of the story phase and how you can grow your faction throughout the campaign and a full appendices which comes with faction rules for the Brotherhood Of Steel, Super Mutants, Survivors and Raiders.

The appendices also feature a breakdown of weapons, perks that you can choose from and a list of Legends of the Wasteland so you can introduce some iconic characters into the mix during your games. This seems like a great next step for Fallout: Factions and provides folks with a rather well-rounded way to get stuck into wargaming in the Fallout universe.
