Northag & Centag Omnibus Coming To Battlegroup Soon
June 25, 2025 by brennon
The Plastic Soldier Company has announced that there is a new Omnibus in the works for Battlegroup and your Cold War battles. This new book will combine Northag and Centag into one place for ease of use.
Northag & Centag Omnibus Rulebook // Battlegroup
This brings together the original Northag and Centag books as a second edition with all of the errata and rules clarification folded in. You'll find rules for the British, Warsaw Pact, US, West Germany, Canadians, Dutch, Danish, Soviet Airborne/Naval Infantry, plus the French and Swedish army lists. The French and Swedish will only be in the omnibus that you can pre-order right now, and not in the print-on-demand softback editions.
Refurbished Cold War Miniatures
During games of Battlegroup Northag, you'll take command of armoured battlegroups from NATO or the Warsaw Pact across a range of scales from 6mm through to 15mm. With the omnibus landing, The Plastic Soldier Company has also fired up more miniature options for you to choose from online.
Cold War Miniatures // Battlegroup
All of the miniatures, being 3D printable files, can be picked up in 6mm, 10mm, 12mm and 15mm, plus more miniatures will be added, like aircraft and helicopters alongside generic NATO kits for the Dutch, Canadians and the Danish.

The Plastic Soldier Company also noted that they are working on new sets of West German Infantry in all of the scales mentioned above, which means that a full range will be launched in a couple of weeks alongside new French and Swedish vehicles.
This seems like it could be a good time for you to dive in and give Battlegroup a try, with both rules and miniatures making a comeback.
What do you think?

Probably a good deal if you haven’t already bought them (think “Battlegroup” WW2 rules also from Warrick and Piers and PSC, but scaled up to fight battalion sized games rather than Company sized ones). Bit annoyed that the Swedish and French army lists will ONLY be available for this print run (the later print on demand version will not have them) as this may cause a barrier to new players in the future (if they want to play French in 1983 (Why?) and Swedish (more likely, S-Tanks anyone?). Nice to see the new 3D printed Cold War minis hit the… Read more »
The two lists are already available for free in twh FB group…
Hopefully they include the missing page (it was WHITE) from the CentAG book. Lol.
Yer… that’s been sorted a while ago.
I think it’s not a good move at all that it won’t be Print on Demand nor a PDF that we can buy and print ourselves.
Had to get a pre order in just for the Berlin Camo, oh and the Swedish!
Longer term project I suspect but looking forward to give these a go and this felt like the perfect time.
The minis look good too but I’m really not keen on how PSC send them out still supported.
