Osprey Games Unveil More Miniature Wargames For 2025
February 11, 2025 by brennon
Osprey Games recently introduced three more miniature wargames that you'll be able to pick up throughout 2025. We start with a Historical wargame by Mike Hutchinson called Pacific Command.
Pacific Command // Osprey Games
Pacific Command is a new naval miniature wargame which focuses on carrier combat in the Pacific during World War II. You will bring together battleships, cruisers, carriers and destroyers battling it out for this theatre whilst the buzz of aircraft fills the air.
The game uses a fog-of-war mechanic which simulates the uncertainty of naval combat. Fleets are deployed first as radar blips, allowing you to conceal the truth of your force's configuration. Your enemy will be doing the same! A dice pool system then allows you to quickly resolve both air and sea battles alongside the good use of your command tokens to outwit your opponents. Could this be an intriguing entry point into the world of World War II naval wargaming?
Watch out for Pacific Command coming in May to tabletops.
Deep Space Dogfighting
As well as the naval wargaming of World War II, you can also pick up Voidfighter from Casey Garske.
Voidfighter // Osprey Games
Sit in the pilot seat alongside your squadron and dive into some Sci-Fi dogfighting. Your ship's characteristics are based on different die types and when combined with a variety of additional traits and weapons, you can customise your ships to suit your playstyle. The book comes with a set of pre-made ships but you can always try something new.
The book also comes with rules for loads of different scenarios, a full campaign system and more. Voidfighter will be blasting onto the tabletop in August.
A Palaeolithic Clash?
Last but not least, November will introduce a new skirmish game to the tabletop in the form of Hide, Stone, And Bone.
Hide, Stone, And Bone // Osprey Games
Hide, Stone, And Bone will have you wargaming but also surviving, hunting and bringing victory to your tribe. The game uses alternate activations and a d10 dice system with a strong focus on the campaign system and the continued survival of your tribe.
The campaign will be divided into a series of Big Days and scenarios which could be a multiplayer mammoth hunt, trying to survive against dangerous cave bears and wolves or simply a tribal clash. After each Big Day, you'll attempt to gather food, make weapons and consult your shamans before heading back out into an untamed wilderness.
All of these new wargames will be popping up throughout 2025 so keep an eye out. Does one of them catch your eye in particular?

I am very interested in ‘Hide, Stone, And Bone’ since I play Primaeval(Tribal), Palaeo Diet: Eat or be Eaten, Doggerland Hunt and Savage Core.
I forgot Immemorial as well.
Voidfighter could be an interesting one, especially now X-Wing is dead dead. Although, I really don’t need to add to my blue book shelf of shame…
X-Wing is not dead… it’s just. Sleeping!
