March 24, 2025 by brennon
Great Escape Games teased a new Starter Set which will be available from 24th April and at Salute this year. This new set is for those wanting to dive into another of their great games, The Chicago Way, with Flatcaps And Truncheons.

The set will feature miniatures for the Peakey Blinders as well as a brand-new faction, the Coppers. There will also be full rules in the box plus a scenario booklet for you to play through. The Peaky Blinders are also a full faction in their own right but the Coppers will also be coming out as their own stand-alone faction in 28mm and metal.

This new set sounds ace and according to Great Escape Games, it's coming in at the £50 mark which is great for a Starter Set for a skirmish game. If you've not played The Chicago Way before, it's a solid set of skirmish rules for gang-based scraps on the tabletop.
At the core of The Chicago Way are the campaigns that you can play with your various gangs. You will be fighting over turf either in Chicago or perhaps on the streets of Birmingham with the new Starter Set. Maybe you'll even throw your lot in with the Coppers trying to stop the spread of these gangs throughout the city!
Are you going to be picking up this new Starter Set?

Lovely looking minis but not for me.
I’ll be tempted.
I think Ill go for this as I can use all my Empire of the Dead terrain for this. Chicago way needs the same amount of love Dead mans Hand gets.
If they do buildings, they could be used for so many games. Fingers crossed!
Sarissa will sort you out with some good ones.
Far as I can tell, it uses the same tokens and rules and Dead Man’s Hand which I already have, so I might take a look at it during UK Games Expo this year. It’s on my list to things to look at.
Wargaming the mean streets of Digbeth. I’d do a better job of the accent than most of the cast too!
🤣👍
I would love it if Great Escape Games did plastic minis for this game like they have done with Dead Man’s Hand. Which have been a fantastic set of plastics to date and hopefully many more to come.
If they did I would definitely jump into this game.
Get them for Very British Civil War
