Red Box Games Preview Their Fearsome New Orcs
March 25, 2025 by brennon
Red Box Games has been previewing their next project on social media over the last couple of weeks. It looks like we're going to be getting a new set of 28mm Fantasy Orcs that look brutal and ready for battle.
Orc With Axe // Red Box Games
The Orcs that Red Box have been working on are going to slot in nicely alongside the rest of their 28mm collection. They come armed with a variety of different weapons including axes, maces and swords plus some well-worn shields that are weapons in their own right when wielded by an Orc!

The design of the armour is also really ace. You've got a bit of a ramshackle vibe going on with the different plates layered over each other but considering how battle-damaged everything looks, it clearly stands up to the rigours of battle.
Orc With Double-Handed Weapon // Red Box Games
The expressions on the Orcs also get a tick from me. They look fearsome and deadly as if they're going to chop you down and then turn your bones into soup! A bright green would work on their skin alongside darker, rusted armour but you could equally get away with a darker green I reckon as well.

This is just a portion of the previews from Red Box Games for this new range of Orcs. It has been mentioned that the range is going to be affordably priced so you can build warbands and armies without breaking the bank which is good!
Keep an eye out for more of these Orc previews from Red Box Games over on Facebook and we'll be eager to see where these pop up, either through their webstore or on crowdfunding.

I have quite a few of Trey’s minis from various KS and reaper minis, I like his style. However, I’m not sure about these, I’ll wait until I see the physical versions before making a decision.
I have to agree you. The older versions were more original – especially their facial features. These seem to be more in line with GW.
The old orcs were fantastic. More bestial with faces that were more snoutlike, shaggy hair etc. Not quite an ape, not quite porcine, and not quite human. When I think of Orcs in my mind, I think of those.
These look more…generic to my eyes? Serviceable, I’m sure but less artistically distinct.
Its a KS for plastics, there may not be physical ones.
