RelicBlade Gets New Battle Pigs – Hard Plastic Miniatures!
October 30, 2025 by brennon
Metal King Studio has announced that they are going to be working on a brand new kit for their 32mm scale Fantasy skirmish game, RelicBlade. They are going to get a proper hard plastic kit soon for their Battle Pigs, one of the oldest factions in the RelicBlade world!
Battle Pigs // RelicBlade
The Battle Pics are the first of the RelicBlade factions that are being transformed into a new Adversary Character Set. This new set will feature a multi-part, hard-plastic set of miniatures alongside your pack of game cards and a booklet filled with lore. It will reflect the spirit of the metal miniatures and Sean's sculpting style but with a new, easier-to-use material.
The new plastic set will feature dive miniatures rather than the four miniatures that you'd get in a metal set.

There will be plenty of modularity with the kits, allowing you to build your Battle Pigs in a few different ways. The addition of the wrist wraps on the miniatures is also helpful for those who want to do quick and easy conversions with the flick of a knife.
Metal King Studio will be working alongside the folks at Archon to make this plastic kit a reality, preserving the character and uniqueness of Sean's sculpts even in a different medium. They still very much feel like RelicBlade miniatures, even if they're moving away from metal.
Battle Pigs Skirmish // RelicBlade
As this is going to act as a good starting out for your Battle Pigs in RelicBlade, you'll also get all of your statistics cards for your Battle Pigs so you can use them in-game. There will also be an expanded booklet which introduces the lore behind RelicBlade and the Battle Pigs. It will feature lore on the faction in question, tactical help for using them on the battlefield and plenty of Sean's art.

This also marks a big change for RelicBlade going forward. There are still plans for a Kickstarter for a new two-player starter set in 2026 and now, that will feature all plastic miniatures if things go well! The new Thunder God set will be produced alongside Archon, who have been making quite a name for themselves recently, supporting Indie creators' visions for their games.

However, Sean Sutter of Metal King isn't waiting until Thunder God lands before the Battle Pigs make an appearance. The plastic set is already in production and it should be ready for AdeptiCon 2026.
What do you make of these new plastic miniatures and Metal King's RelicBlade?

Pig faces Frostgrave Warband? Hmmm…..
Oink, oink 🐷
Pretty awesome news.
Seems pretty wild to me that such a small company can afford to do HIPS plastic minis. Tis great news and I hope its a sign of things to come, it certainly sounds like Sean has a plan. I may well be tempted to grab some.
I thought the same thing. RelicBlade with plastics & wider distribution could be a force, it’s a great game.
As someone who has the previous metal models I’m looking forward to these! Need at least one more model for the Axe Pig, and hopefully there is at least some options for the extra bits (could always use an extra slingshot!).
I really like these. I might just get a pack.
I will buy these for sure. I love Sean’s sculpts and artwork
Great looking figures are the doing some ninja turtles ? 🤔 ?
