Wargames Atlantic Battle Zombies With New Civilian/Survivor Set

Wargames Atlantic previewed another of their new plastic sets coming out very soon. Following on from their Zombies set, you will soon be able to pick up some 28mm Civilians/Survivors who you can pit against the endless, shambling hordes.

This set comes with enough bits to make twenty-four miniatures spread across two unique frames, which contain all of the bodies, heads, arms and weapons that you'd need for staging an uprising or surviving a zombie apocalypse.
Civilians & Survivors - Sprue // Wargames Atlantic
The first sprue comes with a mixture of male bodies alongside a host of arms (some with makeshift weapons), alongside a LOT of heads. The set has been designed so that it can represent fleeing civilians who are just trying to escape the fighting or an armed resistance getting ready to tackle the enemy, be they dead or alive.
Some melee weapons are available on the first sprue but you get more of your weapons here on the second sprue, as you can see.

You also get a range of weapons that have either been stolen or "liberated" from your opponents with a mixture of assault rifles, shotguns, submachine guns and pistols. Everything you need to survive a zombie apocalypse as it starts to creep its way across your country.
I'm sure that a lot of folks are already looking at this as a perfect way for you to make your custom survivors for games like Mantic's The Walking Dead: All Out War. Watch out for the set landing later this year in the Summer.

These are done very much in the style of Mantic’s Walking Dead All Out War, thus giving folks the ability to sub in some proxies for said game. Nice idea.

Yes, the cricket bats are required for the Test Matches in-between surviving the zombie plague.
These appear to be nicer than the official mantic ones from the most recent release. i might havw to get a box and add it to the pile of shame!
