Open Combat Skirmish Game Now Up For Pre-Order

Second Thunder have their new Open Combat skirmish-based wargame available for pre-order now. This game is very much an open book so to speak giving you the tools to game however you like...
So what's the deal with the game?
- Use any miniatures & terrain you have
- Only a small area required (24"x24")
- Suitable for pre-gunpowder historical periods and fantasy settings
- Customise the characteristics of your fighters, ‘stat’ them any way you like.
- Fast setup and play time (30-40mins)
- Great for one-off games or use the campaign rules to connect your games together and develop your warband as you go including long-term injuries, advancements and mercenaries.
The folks behind the game have put up a rules overview in video form too which will take you through the game. It's great to see more games giving you a sandbox to mess around in.

I have been eyeing this for a while now and it looks really good. Simple but still tactical and strategic enough to be fun to play.
My problem is that at the moment there are simply too many systems around. It’s tough to get my mates to jump into another game even if it’s very simple and doesn’t require a lot of models.
