Primer

  1. first prime the mini black or white, depending on the color scheme you use

Color blocking

  1. Then paint the dress, I choose rakarth flesh (citadel paints) as a base color because I do not want here to look rich but a middle class civilian.
  2. I choose red for the head, shoes and belt with the ribbon around the waist -> mephiston red (citadel paints)
  3. The border around the dress will be white so I start white celestra grey (citadel paints) as a base color.
  4. Then the overhang on the dress, this I based with screamer pink (citadel paints)
  5. I did the feathers on the head in three colors so it looks like a more foreign hat

> Daemoic yellow (army painter)

> Green skin (army painter)

> Ultramarine blue (army painter)

  1. To start with the axe I do the handle in rhinox hide (citadel paints)
  2. Then the blade\cheek part in plate mail silver (army painter)
  3. The skin I did in barbarian flesh (army painter) to give her a warm color
  4. Finnish off the color blocking I did the hair in oak brown (army painter)

Shade

  1. The first shade is soft tone (army painter) for the dress
  2. For the red and pink colors on the shoes, overdress, belt and hat I use red tone (army painter)
  3. Then the shade on the feathers:
  • Soft tone (army painter) yellow feathers
  • Blue tone (army painter) blue feathers
  • Green tone (army painter) green feathers
  1. On the whole axe and hair nuln oil (citadel paint)
  2. Then a flesh wash (army painter) on the skin.

Highlights

  1. I start then with the highlights, the dress I highlight in usabati bone and build up to a mix between ustabti bone/lahmian medium 1:1 (both citadel)
  2. Then a big highlight of pink horror (citadel paints) on the overdress
  3. I clean up the red with the base color mephiston red (citadel paints)
  4. Then I do the skin first the flat areas with barbarian flesh. (Army painter)
  5. Second I highlight mix barbarian flesh/elven flesh 1:1 (army painter)
  6. To finish off the skin the sharp parts like the bridge of the nose around the eyes, ect.. With elven flesh (army painter)

It’s always good to have painting guides and especially civillians like this.
