To begin with I wanted the change the base, the smaller square one didn’t really give him justice. I wanted something more imposing, something I could make a bit of a scene.

I decided to use to old CD’s, I stuck three together so it’s a little thicker.

I used some cork I had left over to give the base some definition, at the same time as watching 'The fellowship of the ring' which meant I left some space for water. I painted the cork with Army Painter's Oak Brown and then highlighted with a lighter brown I had kicking around. The only real blue I had was the GW Ultramarines blue so I went with that. I added the foliage next which comprised of some summer flock and a few different colors of clump foliage I had kicking around. You'll also notice a hidden kitbash soldier too here, he was made from frostgrave and perry spares I added the foliage next which comprised of some summer flock and a few different colors of clump foliage I had kicking around. I wanted the soldier a little hidden and the foliage wasn't really enough so I added some reeds I made from part of an outdoor broom (Don't tell my wife)I wanted the soldier a little hidden and the foliage wasn't really enough so I added some reeds I made from part of an outdoor broom (Don't tell my wife)

I added woodland scenics water effect waves to the base (again as I had some left over) and sprayed with water so it smoothed it out slightly I added woodland scenics water effect waves to the base (again as I had some left over) and sprayed with water so it smoothed it out slightly
