Perhaps the biggest push for this idea was the Ariadne Grunts and Marauders themselves. With thes figures I finally found a source for ‘non Colonial Marines’ so much that having painted the 1st 3 Grunts from the starter set I brought 4 more.

Now my 1st Figure from the starter set  the Marauder with a Flame thrower I hadn’t got the Cammo pattern to work and it took a bit of effort to get the figure to look OK.

Though I did learn a bit.

Now with the Grunts I started the same way , The padded leg fronts and jacket on the female figures was done with GW Skeleton Bone

Then most of the figure other than faces and wpns was given with a thinned down coat of GW contrast Militarium Green.

Then lines of Cammo was added with initial lines of Army Painter Acrid Earth and then Blobs of GW contrast Creed Cammo.

Finally to darken it all a bit I used a coating over all the cammo parts and the green packs etc of Citadel Shade Seraphim Sepia. This re picked out the creases toned down the cammo and darkened the Green without being too heavy.
