40 Mark III Iron Warriors ready to go. 36 with Boltguns and 4 Sergeants with Power Fists

A Character, in the Previous edition a lot of Iron Warriors Rites of War needed a Warsmith so I thought I better get one. Unlike most Legion's Techmarines a Warsmith is basically a Captain with a Servo Arm.

I was originally going to prime them Black and drybrush but I decided to wash the colours down instead to get brighter colours

The Plasma Pistol and Thunder Hammer came from the Mark III Plastic set, the Axe and Bolt pistol are cool but I think Iron Warriors would rather the blunt Hammer and the Brutal Plasma.

Paint Plate Mail Metal, Black Wash, all the details, Black Wash. That way the armour gets nice and dark while the colours get a little shading. After the second wash instead of standing the Mini up I hang them upside down so the wash pools in the leg armours recesses instead of flowing off them.

I need some thin tape for the hazard stripes on the Boltguns.

The Comparison between undercoat with first wash and finished mini. The Shoulder Pads are both black, again waiting for the transfer sheet.

Scheme matches some terminators I did last year. The basing scheme is a bit bland here but in reality it has more whites and light greens in it. It could be weird lava, it could be radioactive, it could be the results of some chemical bombardment which suits the Iron Warriors.
