Ebay Miniature Rescues Part 2.

So over the last few years I have continued picking up fun finds on weebay to flesh out my bestiary and to acquire cool models I do not have the skill to paint up for my High Elf VII Legion forces.

First up a £30 High Elf Noble on a Griffon. Painted to a good standard but mislabelled as Eltharion. I needed to clean up a few chips and gaps. The reigns, pennant and some gems/trim were painted with red Contrast paint to tie it in with my army colour scheme. I also painted the flight stand the same colour as my walls to look like it is actually in the air. A quick Vallejo Satin varnish and the base was given the Goblin Green and light green flock treatment.

Tyrion is my best find ever. The original early 90s model painted to the original Mike Mcvey style. It needed no touch up just varnish and the base treatment. For just £50!

Similarly the rare metal Wood Elf Beastmaster okay the birds flying off his hand are missing but the paint job is great and a really cheap find.

Gandalf likewise needed no attention just varnish and base. He was part of a set with the Balrog who needs a bit of work and the Moria sourcebook from GW.
