All the ridged fleshy areas (the long thin ridged eyelet ovals that look like maybe a chunk in the armour) I paintes with a thin coat of Mephiston Red. Then all the carapace harder areas got several thin lines of Xereus Purple. The zenith prime did a lot of good work, but it also meant the the purple stripes on some of the darker areas were lost. I added a Carroburg Crimson shade to all the wing parts. All the bone parts had a thin Zandri Dust base, a Seraphim Sepia wash and a Wraithbone drybrush / highlight.

On the finished version you might be able to see the thin stripes I added in Emperor’s Children pink to bring out the stripes more.
