About the Project
I have decided to tackle a terrain project based on the Frostgrave spin off Ghost Archipelago. The lost colossus supplement contains a number of scenarios which involve war bands seeking out the shattered parts of a giant statue. They fight over the leg and the hand etc. I wondered how to deal with that before looking around work for body parts. I work in a museum that has some old mannequins in storage as they are no longer in fashion for exhibits. All I could find was a hand so got in touch with a nearby visitor attraction who were very helpful after telling me they had a cellar full of body parts. I helped myself to a female dummy and hacked it up. I have started with the head and after being inspired by the games art work I had it chopped in half and decorated it with geenstuff and bits of card. I remembered to take her eyelashes off first.

Sssssnake men batch 2
Some specialist snake crew such as a pearl diver, tomb robber and herbalist I painted all four this afternoon 
Sssssnake men
First batch of 4 snake men painted today. I didn't want them to have metal armour so I've gone for a leather look 
Floating islands
One scenario in the cities of bronze book has our crews fighting over three islands floating over a chasam kept in the air by magic and linked by giant chains the minis can cross from one to the other. The art in the book shows the islands as building blocks so I put these together with bits of insulation foam and old GW movement trays. I didn't glue the raised sections on so I can have them as scatter terrain as well as being floating islands they work as jungle ruins. There is another scenario where you make your way across rooftops and I could use them for that also 
I've been working on completing a lot of terrain for the various scenarios and I've enjoyed making many from scratch 
Scenario artillery and object markers
Drichean ballista. 3d prints from irongate. I added the string which it was designed well to accommodate 
Random loot tokensRandom encounters
I was looking at swamp zombies for the random encounter table and remembered I still had some warhammer zombies. Back in the day I did a pirates of the vampire Coast force. I was chucking these out but kept a handful for GA
Tribals
A weeks work on some tribals with specialists so we can do crews. I also have snake men to do so another change in the usual crews.

Critters
I think some of these guys might be old warhammer minis but I don't remember. I've rebased them and need to pick up some other minis for the encounter lists Walls
Continuing to cut into polystyrene packaging to create some walls. The holes I cut out I used those pieces as mini scatter. Once it's painted and flocked it works because it's a ruin
New pile to work through
North star had a sale on for GA with most minis available for a pound each. I spent alit and snapped the bargains up. Although I did think maybe this is the game in the grave series that's been given up on. We haven't had a new book for some time and the miniatures range fizzled out with not much done from the last book. It's my favourite from the graves games and it has everything I loje. Lost world dinosaurs, sinbad style adventures in the tropics. 
I started on the rank and file of the Drichean warriors from the bronze age style kingdoms. I might look at ancient historical minis to add to them. 
Stone towers
Using some polystyrene packaging I got to work with a wire cutter. The aim was to make two stone plinths on top of which will be a statue that of course will come to life. Because they are ancient I don't have to be to precious 
Cursed totems
I picked these up from iron gate miniatures who do some nice little scenery pieces for fantasy games. I was going to make my own totems but these were so cheap I saved myself the hassle Ruined road
Busy day today working on a couple of projects using spare bits I have left over from other builds A ruined jungle road appears in a scenario in one of the archipelago supplements so I carved some pieces.
Let's play
So today myself and a friend played four games as a mini campaign. I based my crew on an Indian theme using the Rani of jahansi as my heritor carrying her heir in her back and a familiar priestess mini as my spellcasting warden if the storms.
All we had to do is search the area for treasure
This chap was struck by an arrow and with inky one health point remaining was attacked by an anaconda but somehow managed to kill it
My heritor finds the central treasure while my warden summons up some lightning and zaps my rival heritor off the table
My rival pulls back after the loss of their heritor. With three out of five treasures I pull back as does my opponent
Second scenario has a table with bloody totems that effect anyone close and when crew die it attracts random creatures
I made good use of a warden spell that improves the shooting capabilities of nearby archers

Scenario three took place amongst some Dino eggs. Three hatched during the game attacking both sides

The final battle amongst the ruins was the only one that didn't go my way but in the other three I snatched the most treasure. It was a nice afternoon. Next time we hope to play scenarios from the list colossus book so I can get my giant statue scenery on the table
