Bolt Action:Boot Camp Weekend
With the Bootcamp weekend coming up I decided to grab a bunch more vehicles so picked up the following:
- Band of Brothers Starter Set
- Sherman VC
- PUMA
- STUG III AUSF G
And having no other plans due to a bad cold decided to watch the livestreams and build some kits.
Universal Carrier
Next up i couldn’t resist a universal carrier. So i quickly picked one up.
So far its had some basic base coats and a wash.
Tank 1: Sherman V
Fast forward a few weeks and and I finally cracked and ordered a Sherman V kit. Quickly assembled it and almost as quickly rediscovered my enjoyment in the hobby.
Luckily I pretty much had all the existing colors following Warlords British painting guide and with a bit of improvisation and over a few weeks started painting it up.
It still needs some more work, weathering and chipping and maybe some mud for the tracks.
Start of the Project
It started with a clearout
So this project started in a odd way, about a month ago I was clearing out and came across two Bolt Action Kits. A set of British Commandos and German Infantry.
I picked these up years ago at one of the last Sheffield Triple events (2015?) , from a extremely friendly guy at Warlord who threw in some blisters and a copy of Operation Squad. I assembled and started painting a few before life got in the way and left them ever since.
A couple of months ago I was clearing out and came across the figures and set them aside. Decided to catchup on Bolt Action and came across OnTableTop and awesome tank unboxings.
