Pushing on pt 2

The Commander and the other two Space Marines waited for the proper time to engage their foes when suddenly the figures vanished, possibly traveling down a hallway that could not be seen from the Space Marines current location. “Be on guard we are making our move now,” The Commander shouted as he muscled the door open. The other two Marines took a deep breath as they followed their Commander into the next corridor, the corridor seemed to stretch on for ever, the farther down it the less lights that were working, As the group pushed father down the Corridor until they arrived at the location in which the Commander had seen the two figures he was correct there was a corridor leading off to the left but viability down it was next to nothing, if there was something down there they would have a huge advantage over the Space Marines. “lets give them something to think about, Rackchild, light it up,” the Commander shouted, “yes sir,” the Devastator replied with a sound of glee in his voice, Rackchild rose his Storm Bolter and began to fire down the dark corridor, the flashes of the Storm Bolter illuminated the corridor a bit but not much, suddenly the sounds of creatures screaming in pain rang out, a wave of small linky creatures began rushing forward but the shear overwhelming firepower of the Storm Bolter was dropping them as quickly as they came into view, “How many are there?” Grayscale shouted. “Don’t matter” the Devastator laughed. After what seemed like an eternity but in actuality it was just a few minutes.

“Those weren’t Genestealers were they?” Grayscale asked looking down at the massive pile of bodies of unknown creatures, “Not by a long shot, to tell you the truth I do not know what those are but they do go down pretty quickly,” the Commander replied. “We should keep going,” Rackchild said, both the Commander and Grayscale looked at him. The Devastator replied by simply shrugging his shoulders, Commander Noir turned his attention back down the Corridor they were currently in, “I agree lets press on” he said. The Three Space Marines continued down the Corridor, they finally came to another room but the door was closed and locked. “We need to get in here,” the Commander said as he eyeballed the control panel of the door. Suddenly the sound of metal grinding could be heard through out the corridor, “What is that?” Grayscale asked as he brought his Chain Sword up in preparation of combat. Commander Noir turned his attention down the corridor where they came from, “That could be a Genestealer, everyone on their toes,” the Commander replied raising his Chain Fist. Suddenly the lights began to flicker before powering up, “Good work Morningstar,” the Commander said under his breath a very large bulbus headed creature with four arms and a light purple tint to its skin appeared from the corridor where they encounted all of those smaller unknown creatures, in its maw was the body of one of the creatures. It appeared that the Genestealer had not noticed the Marines yet, which gave the Commander an idea, a preemptive strike, “Let it have it boys” he shouted raising his Storm Blaster, the Devastator and the Assault Marine also raised their weapons in preparation to fire.

Pushing on

The group of Space Marines continued down the poorly lit corridor until they came upon the first large metal door which was closed, the Commander did not hesitate as he brought up his Chainfist without even checking to see if the door still worked, he drove his Chainfist into the hinges of the large door, sparks began to fly everywhere. As the Chainfist continued to eat through the metal the Devestator spun around with his gun at the ready as if he heard something coming. The Commanders Chainfist made short work of the door as it quickly fell to the floor echoing loudly through out the Space Hulk, “Well if they didnt know we were coming they do now,” the Commander chuckled “no need to be quiet now” he finished. He motioned for the rest of the party to follow him as he pushed forward into the next corridor, it too was poorly light, and at first glance appeared to go on for a while in a straight line. The Squad of Space Marines pushed forward until they came to an open door off to the right the Terminator peered in before motioning to the rest of them to follow him inside. “Rackchild keep watch” Noir said before the Devistator had a chance to enter the room, “Got it boss no backdoor entry” Rackchild replied.

The room was full of computers and monitors but none were on and it appeared that they did not have power running to them, Commander Noir approached the largest of the console and began pressing buttons but was met with no response from the computer, after a few more moments?” he asked. After a brief moment of silence Markus stepped forward, “I know a few things Commander,” he replied, “Very well see if you can get this piece of junk running,” the Commander replied as he began to walk towards the door, “Lost you stay here with Morningstar, Grayscale your with me and Rackchild we are going to push deeper.” he finished. The Assault Marine followed his Commander out of the room and quickly they dissapeared down the hall with the Devistaor in tow. “Well looks like its just us and what ever abominations might jump out of the shadows” Morningstar said as he sat down to the large console in front of him. Lost propped himself up on the far wall near the door, “You scared Morning?” he asked “Why would I be I mean the man with the most experience and the most powerful weapons just left us to fend for ourselves,” he replied. “Suck it up we are Space Marines this is our job.” Lost snapped at him.

Farther down the corridor the Commander, the Assault Marine Grayscale and the Devistator Rackchild came to another large bulkhead this time it ventured to the left but the door was stuck half way open, “Looks like its time to make some more noise” the Commander Noir chuckled as he put his Chainfist against the door to cut a larger space for them to move through but before he had a chance to even touch the door he noticed movement on the other side a bit farther down the hall, “Eyes up, looks like we are fixing to have our first contact I see at least three humanoid figures down the hall but they are not moving towards us as of yet,” the Terminator said bringing his Chainfist back a bit, but keeping it running.

The Unknown

The year is m64, and the Space Marine Chapter known as the Raptors prepare to investigate a newly found Space Hulk, which had just emerged from the Warp, this Space Hulk was rather small in comparison to others that had emerged before it, but the invaluable information upon the hulk was far to much for the Raptors to pass up even though their numbers were slim due to a confrontation with the Eldar, in which most of there forces were were dedicated to. There was a single Terminator with a few young recruits available to investigate this Hulk. The away party was 5 men strong, led by veteran Maximus Noir fitted in his Terminator Armor, with a Storm Blaster, and a Chainfist along side him were an Assault Marine Markus Morningstar, Nethanial Lost, and Sires Greyscale. The Three Assault Marines were decked out in almost identical armaments, Chainswords for up close and personal combat, and Stalker Boltguns with a single mag of Hellfire Rounds each. The Fifth and final member of the party was a Devastator by the name of Rackchild he was a bit unhinged but was an increadibly accurate shot even with Heavy weapons, his armament was similar to all Devastators packing a Storm Bolter with an Ammo pack.

“Listen up you all have been selected to aid me in the sweep and extraction of valuable information that this abomination of a vessel may have” the Terminator said as he paced back and forth in front of his new team. “I am under the impression that none of you have much experience when it comes to Space Hulks, Tyranids, or Genestealers, and with that being the case, you are to obey my command at all times, you are to do what I say when I say it, if you follow these simple rules there is a chance you might make it out alive” Noir finished before placing his helmet on his head as he stepped onto the awaiting vessel to head towards the Space Hulk. Commander Noir knew that Space Hulks were unstable and the amount of time they had to traverse space and arrive at the Space Hulk as well as board it and search it for any Xeno life and valuable information was narrow, there was no telling how long this Space Hulk would stay here, before simply falling back into the Warp with no warning.

If that wasnt bad enough, it was a high probability that this ship could be infested with Genestealers, he knew that he was the only one that had any experience with these vicious Tyranids, that could infect anyone with their parasitic seed and spread across this expansion of space, and even worse then that if the Space Hulk does have a Genestealer Cult upon it, it could draw in a Tyranids Hive Fleet at any moment, which would be devastating. The only thing that the Space Marines have to their advantage is the fact that this Space Hulk emerged from the Warp in a location that is pretty desolate and void of life which should buy them some time to intercept the Hulk and eradicate any Xenos aboard it before they have a chance to send a message to a Hive Fleet, however the Space Hulk is drifting towards a highly populated Planet in the sector, however if the Emperor wields it that if the Scorpions fail to eradicate the Xenos threat aboard this abomination that the Warp would reclaim it before it got to close.

The space ship known as the Crawling Death which had the Raptors Space Marines began there approach on the dilapidated Space Hulk. The Five Space Marines readied themselves as their ship continued its approach and lined itself up for the Raptors to board the vessel known as a Space Hulk, many things began running through the minds of the three Assault Marines from encountering the dreaded Genestealers to possibly encountering something they had never faced before to even the chance that the Space Hulk would return to the Warp with them still inside, but for the leader of the group the Terminator Maximus Noir there was only one thing going through his mind completion of the mission at all cost.

The Crawling Death began to slow down as he made its approach to the side of the Space Hulk, boarding this particular hulk with this party was going to be a bit more difficult due to the fact that only one of the members the Terminator had ever used a Teleport Homer before but the hope was that the effects of the teleportation would not last long for the other four members of the team. “Remember eyes peeled there is no telling what we might face inside this monstrosity, also our primary objective is to see if there is any valuable information we can extract and bring back to our chapter, our secondary objective will be to terminate any Xenos we encounter” the Terminator said just before the entire group de-meterialized, re-materializing inside the massive Space Hulk.

The hall in which the party materialized into was very dark with only the red auxiliary lights being the only source of lights inside, which caused Captain Noir to quickly switch on his helmets spot light. The Captian motioned for the group to begin moving forward, the warped interior of the Space Hulk was unlike anything the young team had ever seen before, creaking and the sounds of shuffling could be heard through out which could have put any normal man on edge but these soldiers were anything but normal they were Space Marines and were quickly able to squash any nerves or fears that began to bubble up……….to be Contnued.
