So close.......
Approaching the big ‘100’ for the year so far…
An MM30/3 Marauder Goblin from 1989 and one of the 1985 ADD8 Assasins.
AD&D Kobold Leader
Back in 1985, Citadel and GW had the licence to produced the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons figures.
This fella is one of the Kobold Leader variants sculpted by Aly Morrison from pack ADD51 released in June 1985…
Bretonnian... and more Dwarves!!!
Well a couple more 1987 Norman/Feudal types to go in my army done, a 1984 Half-Orc a range I just love and must get more of… and 5 more Dwarves that are sculpts I had been missing.
Now up to 187 Dwarfs… from the 80s. Still hundreds to collect!
And some pics of the Bretonnian Army so far and the Dwarf horde…
P'tang thud... Crossbowmen
Four more Feudal Crossbows from 1987 to finish off the unit to 12 Crossbowmen…
P'tang thud... Crossbowmen
Four more Feudal Crossbows from 1987 to finish off the unit to 12 Crossbowmen…
The Knights have arrived...
Something to lead the serfs! F7 Feudal Knights and F7 Mounted Norman Knights from 1987…
May 2022 - Bretonnian so far...
The Bretonnian Army is well underway now, preparing its forces for its ‘crusade’ across the water to Albion…
Feudals...
A gaggle of Crossbows from the 1986 C26 Men-at-Arms that was retitled F7 Feudals later on…
Ouch!
Two more for Bretonnia…
Another F4 Norman from 1987, this time ‘Gaston’ and to lead the unit of Crossbowmen a C01 Fighter from 1983.
Bretonnian advance continues...
The 2022 Oldhammer Stash reduction continues with two more 1985 F4 Norman Men-at-Arms – Guillaume and Etiennes – to join the Bretonnian forces conquering Albion…
These two bring the number of models painted up to the end of April to 70 for the 2022 Oldhammer Stash Reduction. Just slightly ahead of my hoped for 10 models per month.
More Bretonnian lads... F4 Feudals and Clerics!
Yet more from the 1986 Norman and Men-at-Arms ranges that became the F4 Feudal series, plus two Clerics; one is the ‘Devout Cleric’ from the 1985 BC1 Adventurer Starter Set and the other is the ‘Acolyte’ from the 1985 release of slottabased C3 Clerics.
Bretonnian Spears...
Yet more 1986 C4 Feudals, more Normans and Men-at-Arms ranges to use as my Bretonnian levy spearmen…
…and the slowly amassing Bretonnian forces…
Whole bunch done!
A whole raft of 1980s Citadel miniatures completed that I forgot to post up!
The earliest of which is one of the C15 Armoured Orcs from 1983! Lots fron the Norman/Feudal range, a 1986 AD&D Cleric and a Marauder Goblin!
First Empire Army unit finished...
First unit for my 2ed WFB Empire Army… this shows how all the random models completed for various Oldenheim warbands come together to form units for the army.
Gives a real rag tag and varied look to the units of men at arms this way and reminds of the old adverts with everything painted differently!
So… a unit of 20 Men at Arms, with hand weapons, light armour and shields;
East meets West...
Two more finished fellows today.
First, ‘Chow’ from the first wave of OH1 Ninjas released in 1986.
With him is a ‘Knight of Harkness’ from the 1986 release of figures for the ‘Tragedy of MacDeath’ campaign pack.
Bretonnian... and Stirland!
An example of how figures will do double duty in games… Gerhart will crop up in both Bretonnian forces and in my Stirland Warband for Mordheim as an impoverished Imperial noble wearing old family armour…
Gerhart...
‘Gerhart’ C26 Feudal Men-at-Arms from 1986…
Knight, Knight... sleep tight.
Another of the C4 Feudal on foot, this time ‘Ludwig’ from 1986.
With him is an F7 Feudal Knight from 1987 – ‘Ralph Lord Wilford’ and he is riding ‘Silver’.
Four more for Oldhammer!
Quite a selection this time… from left to right;
Citadel C27 Ninja from 1987, then a Dwarf thief from the 1984 C04 Thieves range, then ‘Sitric, C37 Viking from 1986 and Albi Schutz from the Terror of the Lichemaster campaign in 1986.
