About the Project

This project is going to follow my progress of painting a sentry bot for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. This project is separate from my Fallout: Wasteland Warfare progress project, because I'm planning to use some unconventional (for most miniature painters) techniques to weather up this robot. For me it's also a bit of a test piece (not the first one) to get a good base for these techniques for a future project. I got the base for my sentry bot all done, it might need some touch ups when things are dry, but I’ll see. The base in techniques is the same I use for my other Fallout: Wasteland Warfare miniatures, the difference in techniques is really going to come in on the sentry bot itself.

After spraying the sentry bot with Vallejo Model Color Refractive Green (70.890), I did some basic chipping and scratches followed by just painting all the detailing on the sentry bot.

I got the sentry bot assembled and covered with 2 coats of gloss varnish. I then put AK Interactive Dark Brown Wash for Green Vehicles (AK 045) over it using the airbrush. And then as it was dry-ish I started to remove it with some q-tips and a bit of odourless thinner where needed.

I finally got the supplies in to work more on with my Sentry Bot for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare by Modiphius. Some weathering streaks applied to it.

I did the visor eye thingy on the Sentry bot for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare by Modiphius. Now just need to glue him to his base and then he can go for some varnishes.
