About the Project

I am finally getting to completing a build for 2 clans from the Test of Honour core box and decided to orchestrate battles in the midst of a Japanese village I acquired at GenCon 2 years ago.

I completed the painting of the ashigarus and missile troops, which I recorded in a tutorial videos for those who are interested in adopting the Kobayakawa clan in their game.

Last week, almost two years later, I dove back in and decided to finish painting the two factions of the core box (which I had to supplement with a few models from the Warlords Games Samurai Warband box)

I also tackled the fences provided by 4Ground in the Japanese Shogunate village pack. The fences are fairly easy to build, if a little finicky t balance and log great after ground cover has been added. I also applied a layer of matte varnish to the mdf and will add a 50/50 concoction of PVA/water to the ground cover. I decided to keep the gates closed as the hinges are not really functional.
