About the Project

After binge-watching basically all of Beasts of War's Infinity-related content so far, I finally took the jump and dove right into the game. In this project I will document my progress of painting various Infinity-miniatures and forces to a high level.

I’ve recently finished painting the second mini from the JSA-Box – the pre-order-exclusive Kaizoku Spec-Ops, and I’m currently working on a classic for the JSA: an Oniwaban.

After reading into all the existing factions for the game, I quickly fell in love with the japanese seccessionists – I just like rebels, the japanese flair and allusions to works like Ghost in the Shell. I also love the minis, most of all the Kuroshi Rider, so I got myself the JSA-box and started assembling the cool female biker. To be honest, I absolutely love the mini – its design, the pose, but I didn’t particularly like the humongous scythe, so I carefully removed it and replaced it with a monofilament-katana. The mini now has a pose reminding me of a striking scene and turning point in the movie Black Rain.

As for the colours, I wanted to keep the palette restrained and striking. White, red and black will be the prominent colours across the force as per the studio army. Here’s the finished Kuroshi Rider:
