Update - Nothing to see here.
I have been keeping up and doing 30 minutes everyday on my Kings of War. It has mostly been building units and I have got a lot of Zombies and Ghouls sorted for my Undead.
I’ve also been searching for models, so have found a few things I didn’t know I had including quite a rather lovely Undead cannon that I am going to use as a Balefire Catapult and some Ogre Command!
More Reinforcements, Discord and Blood!
Have got plenty done over the past couple of days – especially this afternoon chatting with Laughingboy in the CoG discord (Torros also popped in as well). Hopefully more people will pop in and out of the chat as the discord and community grows.

Some Games of 3rd
Last Saturday, Paul (@Lordsanes), Gerry (@avernos) and myself (@Robert) played some 1000 points games of Kings of War. Paul brought his Goblins with a few Werewolf allies, Gerry brought tryhard filth from the Abyss and my Dwarfs tried to save Coleraine from all the evil that abounded.
Paul won 2 out of 2, destroying me and snatching victory from the jaws of defeat against Gerry. In the clash of Dwarfs v Forces of the Abyss, a fairly balanced game was decided by my ability to sit on objectives and not budge.
Great fun was had by all. Pics below.
The Plan
Recently I have been in a bit of a hobby rut. No interest in painting, and just cleaning up bits and pieces and getting them ready for priming. So, with this in mind I am going to start doing a little bit of Kings of War everyday. It worked with my Nurgle project and I got loads done, so hopefully it will work with this. The idea is to try and do at least 30 minutes of KOW hobby everyday. This Saturday it will be hopefully playing a game, but that counts.
So I have raided the shed and found the following to add to my Dwarfs, Undead and to finally start on my Naughty Dwarfs – I might have collected a few things over the years… and this is not all of what I have for these armies….

So you can see I will have my hands full over the next wee while. Plan is to do something everyday for the rest of the year. Even if a miracle happens and I get through all this, I can then make a start on the Elves, Orcs and Goblins I have.
Recently I have also got a couple of units for my Dwarfs ready to prime and then paint.
My Dwarfs Went to War
So myself and Lordsanes made the trip to Coleraine, to OTT HQ, and got a game of Kings of War second edition in. Boy it was fun. I managed the win, but I got a few rules wrong, and my dice were disgustingly good so the poor Gobbos didn’t stand a chance. Not long to 3rd now.
Some photos of the epic clash on a great table below.
My Dwarfs - The Badger Drilly Bit
Needs more badgers, needs more dwarfs to ride the badgers (not that kind of ride…), more drilly things and more heroes!
My Dwarfs - The Shooty Part.
These haven’t been used in many years… I didn’t realise they were as dusty until I saw the photos. They are clean now!
I do have quite a few more riflemen and crossbowers plus lots more artillery in a box. Will be interesting to see what 3rd Edition does.
KOW 2nd Edition - Hello and Goodbye
Dear KoW 2nd Edition
I write to you to express my sadness and regret that I only got one game with you. Grand plans were hatched for you, great armies planned and campaigns dreamed off. I apologise to you for not following through with these plans.
Yesterday I played my first game of 2nd Edition and probably my last. My opponents, Goblins and Forces of Nature put my Skeleton horde to the sword and comprehensively sent me back to the Necromancer Social Club licking my wounds. Despite my shame of letting the Royal Society of Undead Generals down, I thoroughly enjoyed myself because you are a great ruleset (and my opponents, despite shooting at me with invisible units, were also great).
Your better looking younger sister approaches to replace you, but that should not worry you, as you are not the older ugly sister, for you served the world of Rank and File fantasy well.
My kindest regards
Robert the Necromancer

My Undead Army - Others
Ghoul Troop – 70
Ghoul Troop – 70
Wights – 155
Wights – 155
Wraiths – 120
Werewolf Regiment – 155
Balefire Catapult – 95
This was a 1st Edition army, when Wights weren’t Large Infantry and Wraiths could be taken in units of 5.
Update on 14/11/2019 – Points are now 3rd edition. I will replace the Wights with more suitable models, perhaps even the tasty looking ones from Mantic. The 6 guys can either be used as Revenants or Soul Reaver Infantry.
Wraiths will get rebased sometime to create a troop (10 models on a 100×40 footprint). I’m sure I have another 5 to make into another troop at some stage.
My Undead Army - Heroes
Executioner (Necromancer) – 50
Revenant King – 80
Undead Army Standard Bearer – 50
Necromancer – 50
Mounted Vampire Lord – 200
I thought I had more Necromancers type models painted but they must be in a box somewhere.
My Undead Army - Skeletons
Skeleton Spearmen Horde – 175
