About the Project

This has been a long time coming. The origins can go back three years ago when I first came up with the idea of Magic and Tech but then failed to carry through with any serious development. It has been only recently in the past 4 months that I really put any serious effort into rule development. My original plan was too wait til I had more done and wait til the Spring Clean Challenge has passed til I created a project page dedicated towards this but that is a week away; plenty of time to take Q&A for those who are curious and until v0.04 is up which contains everything right up to shooting rules as the current v0.03 only contains movement rules. If I get enough interest, I will be happy to put up Magic and Tech v0.03 but until then, I will be happy to put up a few images that I found that helped me get inspired to move this project along.

There was an issue with some of the unit cards and the gatling weapon stats so this have been fixed. There has been no rule change.

The game was brought back out for Historicon 2023 and I ran more people through it than last year. Enjoy these pics taken as I prep for Fall-In 2023.

The combat witch Kickstarter will be launched sometime in late May 2024. The hope is to have them funded so a basic squad can be made but there are stretch goals that will expand the options and poses to make the squad or platoon of combat witches anyway you choose with the highest stretch goal being the infantry that will support these queens of the battlefield and vise versa.

Here they are! Previews of the parts! Some of these were duplicates so there will be notes as to how many will need to be printed in a build guide that I am now writing up.
These will be part of the Combat Witch Set that I will have going on sale this July with physicals being made available either in July or August!

It’s happening! In a few days; the initial .stl of the Combat Witch will be finished!!!!!

As said; it will be a few days until these are finished and water marked. Also as said; these are the initial .stl’s and will become available to all in July after Historicon. I need to write up a few articles still to populate the website and set up a myminifactory page and a few months later; an Etsy account as well as launch a Patreon.
There will be a build guide so you can assemble the combat witches. This is in a lead-up to a kickstarter in March 2024 that will expand upon the Combat Witches by giving those who are interested more options to build their squads.
Later in 2024 will be the infantry to accompany the combat witches. More will come as the rules Magic & Tech will eventually reach a point to where I can turn a word document with rough diagrams into a true and proper rulebook with pictures and graphics.

Here is the updates lists of units that are in the first two main factions. I am done all of the Naratian units with maybe 1 final check over and I am a bit over half-way done the Penar lists. Next are the Irregulars/ Militants and then the neutrals/ demon cards. I am looking at another two weeks of work before V0.16 is released.

Beta V0.16 is still in editing as I have over a hundred unit card entries to update! Some mechanics have been removed or reworded for ease of play. I have a feeling 0.16 is gonna be the best one yet!
Fall-In 2022 was 2 weeks ago and I am still editing the game with a few unit entires a day. I could be done V0.16 in a months time. See you then. Also, here are some pics from Fall-In 2022.

And here we go! Beta V0.15 is done and now live! This was a lot of work and I found a lot of proxies were not made! So cards have been updated and improved so there is less cards to deal with. It is easier to see who is who now on said cards. Some stats have been changed and wording made easier to understand; I hope. Whew. Historicon is over with. I did unfortunately caught covid but the feedback and the loot made it worth it. V0.15 is being edited with what energy I have available to me and soon, it will be released!
Throughout the 5 games, I had 22 players play and lines upon lines of notes and feedback to implement. So enjoy some pics as I go through my work.

And it’s time! For once, I am way early and with that; here is V0.14 of Magic and Tech. Unit cards have been updated as well as upgrade cards and new ones have even been added. Rules have been tweaked and adjusted with some new ones implemented. Enjoy.

Had another playtest today and some changes will have to be made again. Mostly to unit stats but I think the mechanics are there; just need some ironing. Expect V0.14 by months end! I hope.

Holy moly! V0.13 is a serious rework of not only the rules but also the unit cards and quick reference sheet!

These changes include:

  • Re-worked rules
  • Added some new rules
  • Resized templates
  • Edited Unit Cards
  • Added many more unit that are available for testing
  • Redone weapon ranges
