As promised! The Tullys can now hold their own against everyone

Just like with the Boltons I like the idea of a Tully only list. I already have some Tully Cavaliers and I’ve got some Stark Bowmen that I’m going to carve the wolf off and paint in Tully colours

As previously described I themed an army around the Boltons. I included Stormcrow Archers only because they are from the neutral factions list, and the Boltons don’t have an archer unit of their own.

Sadly ASOIAF isn’t a game that’s really about themed lists. You can have themed lists but the game mechanics are such that having people from other factions in your army make it infinately better. I doubt I could care less so I painted to less optimal Bolton Blackguards.

ASOIAF is a great game and the Boltons are supposed to be a neutral faction, a bit like Dogs of War in Warhammer. I’m running them as their own army with 2 units of Flayed Men, 2 Units of Blackguards, 2 Units of Cutthroats, Some Bolton Bastard’s Girls and Stormcrow archers. I’ll do a whole army shot once I’ve finished the Blackguards next week.

I don’t play AoS regardless of edition but I started assembling 3rd Ed and remembered I hadn’t painted the Spirit host from 2nd ed. Again apologies over the light. Australian sunlight comes in ‘very bright’ and ‘health hazard bright’.

Not much to say about this but after hearing they’d Kickstarted the 2nd edition I decided to fully paint the 1st edition. Done, now get back on the shelf to be ignored with all the other stuff!

I followed up my Bolton characters with a regiment of Flayed Men Cavalry. O also finished off my Starks with a regiment of archers and Tully Cavaliers. I enjoyed painting them so much I now have a Tully and Bolton army ordered and on the way!

Lets hope I don’t end up skinned!

I painted these between zoom meetings whilst we all pretended we can work from home.

Well I don’t know why it took this long but I finally got these Dark Angels from the 7th Ed box painted.

So I bowed to peer presure and did a squad of Thousand Sons in blue rather than metalic red. It was a mistake but seeing as in Kill Team you rarely have more than 4-7 Marines on the table, I can restrict it to 1 squad who will be hidden at the back of the display cabinet.

All hail the multi-handed Emperor! I went dark with these guys and I liked it. I will be fleshing out this team some more.

So 25 years later I painted the Space Hulk 1 Terminators. I’ve put a picture of the Space Hulk 3 terminators here as well just for comparison. You can’t always paint detail that isn’t there sometimes.

So in January I finally got around to painting the characters for ASOIAF that I should have painted 4 years ago
