So it begins

Having somehow avoided war gaming for a good 4 years I found the stuff for conquest has drawn me back in – so off to the website and I ordered myself a starter box to start off with my Spires.

Apparently my box is in the post and should arrive this week (so I may be able to start working on my project by Friday)

So how do you Army?

The One in which I derp with Army Building

So as i prepared for my stuff to arrive I started working out how to actually build an Army worthy of Mordor – I mean the Spires. In the video I am just mucking around a bit to show how it works. Once the stuff actually arrives i can start building in anger.

PS
I also managed to get an affiliate account off Para Bellum so that was nice

My God its full of PLASTIC!!!

I finally get hold of product and start unboxing and building my Spires from the starter set – stay tuned for the ‘final’ assembly and the infamous Abomination build in the next instalment.

NB – I have left off the shields for painting purposes, but I might change my mind….

PS
100K force will be after I finish the Spires

The biggest chunky boi of them all

In this video I quickly wrap up building the Spires including the tricky Abomination figure. It is enormous and whilst the components go together reasonably easily the complete mini is a bit fiddly due to its bulk, weight and ball joints all over the place.

I will leave the Abomination off the base for painting but ended up gluing all the Infantry stands to their bases. Now to find some funky paint…..

PS
I will take a short break to deal with some other board game projects then return to Conquest when i make up the rest of the starter and build the 100k stuff, then its time to tackle the regiment boxes
