end of Month update
Finished models for January all for heavy Gear Blitz (3.1)
First up we have some Dingos to add to the Northern forces and a Spearhead Hunter with added banner
then we have a combat group for Peace River
First models of 23 complete
The first models of 23 have been completed. 150pts force of Southern Milica for Heavy Gear Blitz completed.
Lizard Riders and a few more gears were added to round out the force. They are all ready to jump on the table as cannon fodder for their Northern nemisis
back painting again
been back at it, painting more models for Heavy Gear Blitz.
First up is some engineer gears and infantry options of for the northern Forces
And have made a start on some South Gears to use for teaching and Demoing the game
One batch finished
All the outstanding heresy models are now completed from the waiting pile. Spent a leisurely Sunday afternoon basing the two Contemptors and adding decals to all the tactical marines.
Just need to order a bunch of shoulder pads and a Praetor next month and this project is finished until heresy 2.0 is released
And a group shot of everything on the table
The heresy continues
Since I’m still waiting on bases for the Contemptor dreads to arrive, I had a look what was I the bought but not started and finished pile. Upon doing so I found some forgeworld mk. iii space marines left o er from when I was making a kill team. Also about was a box of plastic mk. iii marines.
So that was the weekends work assembling another 10 marines to add to the previous 10 for a full size 20 man unit.
Managed to get the 10 mostly finished. Just need to finish off the legs and then all that’s needed is to get somemore forgeworld shoulder pads and we are good to go.
Smooth Terminators
Back to work now after the Christmas break, so working on projects is going to slow down again.
But saying that have managed to get the Tartaros terminators rebased. Also roke out the agrax earthsahade to finish off all the panel lining on them. Just waiting now on the micro sol to dry on the transfers
The updates continue
More progress made today. The Deredeo Dreadnaught is now finished and ready to join his brothers fight on beyond death.
Along with the dread we have a squad of Terminators joining the fray. these have been rebased and given some love to get them up to scratch for the current version of my Imperial fists. Some panel lining was required and the addition of some Forgeworld transfers were added to finish them off.
Up next from the pile of Half/Almost Finished models is a bunch of Tartaros terminators and two Contemptor Dreads.
The Dreadnaughts should be quick enough to get finished as these just need new bases, but the terminators need some love. Seems when they were first painted by past me i have neglected to do any work on the back of the models so the are all just bare yellow back there, so some panel lining and metals are needed.
and lastly we have an updated shot of the completed brothers gathered together
Short update
Only a little work done today, been to busy being social with the family.
Base coats down with the gold, silver and reds. Then they have been washed.
The long parts up nest. Highlights on black and then some simple dry brushing on the metalics
Progress on the Imperial Fists
Backpacks finished for the tactical squad meaning they are all ready to be added to the display case with the rest of their fellows.
Doing the backpacks was tedious but pretty quick once i got my head down and got on with it. Gun Metal silver and then back washes, with Agrex Earthshade panel lining.
Then finished the main body and missile laucher for the Deredeo Dreadnought.
Just the arms to work on now for this then it can be added to the group as well
Finally remembered that i had Sigismund and Alex Pollux for the Imperial Fists.
These were both magnatised and used as part of my kill team for Kill team 2018.
will add the display base for Sigismund to my backlog as i never finished that of as well.
New arrivals and finishing off some of the backlog
So today we had the delivery of some new toys. This will be my gang for a campaign of Necromunda.
So I thought I’d start with a gang that wasn’t in the original game. My plans for painting these will be to implement the heresy scheme for the world eaters in some form. Not sure how yet, but I’ll do some tests before I Dive in and see what happens
Speaking of Heresy, first up it’s time to get around to finishing some outstanding half finished imperial fists.
That’s means today has been spent getting some tactical marines finished off. Finished off the shoulder pads and panel lining on these today. And cleaned up the power packs which have now been Primed averland sunset ready for painting tomorrow.
Something Blue
And While i was doing my Christmas clean also found one of my proudest models that i’ve painted in a storage box and along with that is still probably one of what i think of as the best space marine sculpts out there.
Unleased from their time locked in the Phalanx a Librarian is ready to take his place alongside his brother on the walls in defense of Terra
a New Lance
So time to get around to logging the schem for my battletech forces.
so that means i should paint a new lance to add to the forces.
