After years of being asked why don't I play orks, I finally caved. This will be for my AOS ork army.

Weirdnob shaman
This guy was an absolute blast to paint. He gave me an opportunity to add some different colors to the army via the smoke cloud. I have my meganob on order so most like he will be the next ironjawz model I work on. I also have a beast skewer killbow primed up.
Ironjawz join the waaagh
The Ironjawz join the waaagh. I picked up a start collecting Ironjawz box the other day and had to paint the warchanter first. I have always loved the look of the ironjawz and im glad I finally added them to the collection.
Orc skin and the 2nd man skewer unit
This will be the colors I use for all my Kruleboyz skin. First i put a base coat of the burgundy down. Then with an airbrush spray the yellow green avoiding deep recesses. This is done extremely thin to help get better transitions from the burgundy. After that add some undead flesh to the yellow green to brighten up the skin a bit. And finally using a brush spot hight/blend pure undead flesh to the tops of muscles, areas of the face, fingers.
Man skewer unit 1
I painted these guys up first because I think Im going to primarily play Big Yellas. But I love the look of the face armor and shields in red. So decided to keep them red instead of yellow and paint their “shirts” yellow.

Had a chance this weekend to finish up the crew. I will be moving on to a gutrippaz unit next. I will go over the ork skin colors in that update.
Gutrippaz bases
Started my first 10 gutrippaz bases as I let some other projects dry. More of the epic basing bits with a couple of rocks from grabblecast and some milliput.
Marshcrawla almost finished
Just the crew left to paint and my Marshcrawla Sloggoth will be finished.
To finish off the metal I used orange rust(Greenstuffworld) sparingly around some of the connection points. After that i gave all the metal a little dry brush of thrash metal(scale75).
The red was based burnt red(pro-acryl). The shadows were glazed in with a 1:1 burnt red:dark purple(pro-acryl). The highlight is pyrrole red(pro-acryl)
Brush work on the Marshcrawla
The shadows were glazed in with a mix of brown transparent and purple transparent from pro-acryl. This was done in a couple of coats focusing in on the deep recesses. The highlights were done with a mix of redleather and yellow tan from Vallejo. This was also glazed focusing on the tops of the muscles.
The pink ears and gums were base coated reddish flesh from the Vallejo pro fantasy line. The shadows were glazed in with burned flesh also Vallejo pro fantasy. And the highlights are flesh highlight by Vallejo pro fantasy.
The wood was based dark umber(pro-acryl), and drybrushed light umber(pro-acryl) yellow ocher(pro-acryl) and baneblade brown(gw). After that washed with a 1:1 agrax and camoshade both gw. The metal was based black metal (scale75)
All of the metal was washed nuln oil then agrax. After that I washed most of the metal surfaces with medium rust from Greenstuffworld. This was done patchy around 80% of the surface. 
Next I used light rust (Greenstuffworld) and focused this around bolts, were plates meet other plates and any divots. It was also stippled in any area i felt needed a bit more detail. The finished base
The base was finished off with an assortment of tufts from Gamersgrass. The water is uv resin from Greenstuffworld with a bit of green weathering powder/pigment lightly pulled in before curing the resin to give a stringy algae look.
Mushrooms
Some photos for reference of the mushrooms I will be painting. The first is chicken of the woods, 2nd amethyst, and 3rd parrot waxcap.
I base coated the chicken of the woods jokaero orange, the amethyst dark purple (pro-acryl), and the parrot waxcaps hellbound flesh(scale75)
Next i gave the chicken of the woods a highlight of tua light ochre, the amethyst a coat of blue interference(Greenstuffworld), and the parrot waxcaps i painted the cap moldy ochre(p3)
The final step is a controlled stipple of moldy ochre on the chicken of the woods, a thinned coat of red interface(Greenstuffworld) on the amethyst, and blend moot green(gw) then warpstone glow(gw) leaving the rim of the cap moldy ochre and tip warpstone glow Brush work on the base
Drybrush the ground gorthor brown(gw) and base coat the rocks stormvermin fur(gw)
I gave everything a drybrush of karak stone, and the rocks a drybrush of ulthuan grey
The rocks and ground were given a wash of athonian camoshade. The wood a base coat of dark umber (pro-acryl), the ferns black green(Vallejo) and the other plants military green(Vallejo)
The wood was then dry brushed light umber(pro-acryl), then hobgrot hide. The old broken wood got a dry brush of stormvermin fur and adinistratum grey(gw). All the wood was then washed agrax earthshade. The ferns were highlighted uniform green(Vallejo) then washed carroburg crimson. The other plants were highlighted us dark green(Vallejo) and washed coelia greenshadeThe mushrooms are next. I will post up the reference material I will be using for them along with the painting process.
Airbrush work on the Marshcrawla
Everything was base coated with black brown primer from pro-acryl 
Shooting from top down and focusing on raised muscles 1:1 chocolate brown and saddle brown (Vallejo)
Added to the previous mix was a bit of red leather (Vallejo). This was shot in the same method, top down and focusing more to the top and center of the muscles 
Finally add some tan yellow (Vallejo) to the mix and focus on the very tops and center of the musclesThe rest will be standard brush work.
Airbrush work on the base
Primed stynylrez black 
Base coated black brown primer from pro-acryl 
Chocolate brown aimed at all the raised surfaces leaving only the shadows and the divots black brown 
1:1 chocolate brown and saddle brown both Vallejo model color. This was focused on the center areas of the raised surfaces.The rest will be standard brush work. More to come
The Waaagh begins
Some of you may know Gorka is my actual name. So since I started the hobby I have always been ask “why dont you play orks?” Well I finally caved in with the release of the new Kruleboyz. This log will be a bit more then my usual ‘showcase’ style. It will start with Kruleboyz and may eventually go it the other ork clans. But to start off will be my Marshcrawla Sloggoth.
The base is built up with milliput. In the dips I plan to do water effects. The basing pieces are all from epic basing. 
After the milliput cured a bit I gave it a coat of mig acrylic mud. It doesn't matter what color as it is all getting primed over
