About the Project

New Eldar army; I had Eldar as my second army far back in 2nd edition 40k (the best edition!). Compared to my Orks, they were seriously deadly.

Test painting - colours

I have a spare Eldrad model, it was given to me built.

This became my test colour model.

AK 3rd Gen paints with an overall grey-lilac/turquoise/magenta-pink scheme.

This is Craftworld Iybraesil colours (sort of!).

Finished the spare Eldrad, in what will be my Craftworld Iybraesil colour scheme. Practiced on a few things like gems and fast non metallic metals. Base will be not this when I paint the army, so I left it black and with the ruins under foot.

Updated bike - GOLD

To match some existing work from a prior painter, the client wanted “more gold”. Updated the bone to gold. Now I can finish the others.

Old School 2nd ed Metal Dreadnought!

How cool is this: an old school second edition era metal Eldar dreadnought. Was painted with about three layers of paint, but a soak in acetone seems to have taken the most of it off. This will be a lot of fun to reassemble and repaint as a Harlequin themed dread.

Harlequin jetbikes FINISHED

All six of the bikes finished a day early for pickup. Pretty happy with the result: somewhat uniform, all unique though. Nose patterns are cool, I think. Loads of colour, which was fun.
