Retreat through Burma 1942 - Battlegroup Pacific
Little battle using early war list for some Far East action…
The Summer 44 Germans....
The Germans for use in the summer months… all AB Figures except the dog! He is from Elhiem Miniatures.
Waffen-SS MG42 team...
A little AB Figures MG42 team to add to my slow-grow Waffen-SS unit…
LRDG/SBS Test
First test for some LRDG/SBS troops, themed to be operating around the Aegean Sea in 1943, especially the actions on Leros.
Not sure I’m settled on colours, I want a mixed up look, and the second pic shows him next to my normal Khaki Drill wearing Brit for North Africa…
Panzer crewmen...
Another two Panzer Crew done to finish the group…
Fight in Holland... Frontline Normandy playtest
Some pics from this week’s playtest of the new WW2 skirmish rules we have in development…

Start of some dismounted tank crew for our Frontline rules…
…and another random German who was lying around…
US Infantry... April 45
Done a couple of new US test pieces, for the late war US Infantry in M43 jackets that AB Figures are due to release any day now.
First is an officer wearing an M38 Mackinaw ‘Jeep’ Jacket and Armed with an M1 Carbine…
The second test is an infantryman in full M43 uniform and carrying an M3 Grease Gun…
A new German Commander...
A new German officer, off to the Balkans to hunt down partisans…
Prinz Eugen...
The first four conversions for the Balkans project are done. All AB Figures with heads swopped.
We have two Prinz Eugen Gebirgsjäger in Blurred Edge smocks, ski caps and mountain boots with rifles, a Prinz Eugen officer and the earlier Croatian soldier acting as liason with Prinz Eugen for 359th Division.
First Croat...
Completed the first figure for my Balkans/OZAK WW2 project – a member of the Croat Legion. An NCO from the 359th Division that supported Prinz Eugen in anti-partisan operations.
Like many will be for this project he is a headswop using an AB DAK MG spotter with a tank crew head to give me a generic gent with binoculars. Gone for the Mouse Grey woolen uniform as a change, and all the specific Croatian models will get this. They will then mix in with the zeltbahn clothed Germans to form the 359th for games.
Kangaroos...
Three Ram Kangaroos… the Canadian Ram tank, de-turreted and used as an APC for troops in Europe in the latter part of the war…
More British Armour...
Decals on for this lot.
Matching up my Sherman command tank of 13th/18th Hussars, to go with my other tanks, when with 27th Armoured Brigade in Normandy.
In this photo they had moved to 8th Armoured Brigade on disbandment of the 27th in late July after Goodwood. The photo was taken near the River Waal at Nijmegen, 15 October 1944, but you can still make out the sea horse badge of 27th AB and the new badge of 8th AB being placed in the centre of the transmission cover. Uniquely this vehicle carries two Brigade emblems. Mine will be as in Normandy. The vehicle has an added Browning MG and what seems to be a cable dispenser on the rear turret stowage bin.
Ruined city...
The factory adds another piece to my bombed out city… so a little 4 x 4 to test it out.
