Hello friends,

work on the Gun Mages continues slowly. I have managed to highlight the yellow parts of the miniatures using a mix of Averland Sunset and Cygnar Yellow 1:1 and later pure Cygnar Yellow.

I have also painted the cockades on the tricorns using for the whites:
– Ceramite White followed by White Scar
For the red:
– Mephiston Red -> Evil Sunz Scarlet -> Wild Rider Red

I hope it will be more visible on the “finished product” pics ๐Ÿ™‚

See you next time.

Hello again,

work on Cygnar forces continues. Today I want to show you a picture of Gun Mages that I am currently painting and the blue colour recipe:

Undercoat: Vallejo black primer
Basecoat: I used Formula P3 Cygnar Base but you can use Citadel’s Macragee Blue. Simply use the brush or airbrush the colour on the miniature as I did.
Shades: I airbrush Drakenhof Nightshade.
Highlights: I basically airbrushed Formula P3 Cygnar Highlight on places that I think would catch some light. Than I added Citadel White Scar into the mix to highlight the highlighted areas even more but leaving a hopefully smooth transition. You can go even one step further and add more White Scar to the mix but I did not do it since these are simple table top level painted minis.

Yellow uniform elements have been so far painted using Averland Sunset.

Until next time ๐Ÿ™‚

Stryker’s personal jack. He really has some anger management issues this one. Probably that’s why he charges for free, if something hits him he gives back and he can countercharge within 6″ One side note, he is a terrible build.

Nemo3 not so long ago the biggest nightmare of Cygnar’s enemies due to his feat. Balanced a bit now and still dangerous especially when paired with two Stormstriders.

So, one of the first figures for Warmachine that I have painted if you remember was the plastic Charger from the Mk II Cygnar starter. Here are some classic metal sculpts of the same jack.

A personal light warjack of Haley. He get really do stuff and he can arc node spells while in combat. He is really a thorn in the ass of Cygnar opponents. I even tried to do some combat damage on this one. Something I rarely do.

Well, these guys don’t see the table too often. Simply because they are not too good in the game. The sculpts were awful when it comes to the faces. Half of them had scars goint through the middle of the head.

If you were looking for a mean mechanic boss. Here he is. He is really good at repairing stuff and can empower your warjacks by giving focus. Plus the cigar in his mouth gives him some character. Look at the size of that wrench! ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you can deliever them to the enemy they will really hit hard. The downside is, the delievery is not that easy. Anyway, we have a unit with the Unit Attachment and some Weapon Attachments. I believe the Cygnus on the banner was my first ever free hand.

I bought the one from the classic “easy to kill your opponent with a throw of this heavy metal miniature” line simply because it was cheaper ๐Ÿ™‚ I regret it. Building and painting the Defender was not a pleasure. Yet, his heavy hitting long range gun is something I like. I just wish he was cheaper point wise in the game.

So, I continued to work on the Battlebox and decided to paint another light jack, a Charger with a hammer and a double barrel cannon. I had the idea of the blue set up at that point with Macragee Blue being the base colour. I used Screaming Bell for the bronze.

Ah, 2014! I remember buing the Cygnar MkII starter box and some other stuff including a Journeyman Warcaster that you see below. Well, The whole idea of this project is to show my journey through the years. Hopefully, you will see progress in my painting skills since I did not repaint any of the miniatures. I put them in chronological order from 2014 up to 2018 and I am going to post more painted stuff as soon as I finish something and believe me I got a full locker of Warmachine stuff to be painted.

Ok, so let’s get started. Journeyman Warcaster.
