Assault on Arkham, DC's next animated feature based around the world of the Batman Arkham games, recently had its first trailer. Surprisingly though it looks like it won't be focusing too much on the Dark Knight, but rather the Suicide Squad!

Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad are a bunch of villains, brought in by the government when they have a suicide mission that needs some special skills. In this iteration of the team, we find Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Frost, Black Spider, King Shark and Captain Boomerang, a formidable gang from across the DC universe's rogues gallery.

In Batman: Assault on Arkham, the Suicide Squad is sent in to deal with a dirty bomb, placed somewhere in Gotham by the insane Joker.

Joker

Trapped between the Clown Prince of Crime and the Batman, can this miss-matched team of misanthropes come together to save the day, or will they prove to be even more dangerous than the threat they have been sent in to deal with?

Batman

The Suicide Squad were teased at the end of Arkham Origins and their inclusion in the story makes me really hopeful for this film, which I had previously feared might be a simple retread of the games.

What do you think of DC's animated movies?
