Icarus Games has now released their excellent looking Sci-Fi miniatures range via MyMiniFactory! A few years ago, I'm pretty sure we said they had the best aliens out there and I reckon that these still hold up today!

Nexus Bundle - Icarus Games

Check Out Their Old Range Here

These aliens, the Nexus, are absolutely awesome. Not only did Icarus do a fantastic job on the wild and brutal looking elements of the Nexus but also the more tooled-up versions too. Each of the miniatures is available as part of this larger bundle as you see here or individually if you're particularly taken by a certain miniature.

The scale for at least some of these miniatures is listed at 35mm but I would imagine they'd work well enough alongside a lot of 32mm and possibly 28mm miniatures out there. The aliens of the Nexus in particular would benefit from being slightly bigger, making them seem all the more menacing!

As well as the Nexus, we also have the other faction that was released in 2015. Here we have the Alliance who are a band of gunslingers and badass soldiers.

Alliance Bundle - Icarus Games

The Gunslinger in particular is a fantastic miniature and would look suitably at home in all manner of settings. You've also got the Outrider Scout on the far left who would look fantastic when painted up in a full camouflage cloak.

Now, obviously, these miniatures are now available only as STL files but they would be a pretty awesome option for those diving in to say...Stargrave? If you've got a 3D printer and you're eager to have a very unique looking crew then these miniatures would be very cool indeed. If you didn't want to use them as your crew, they would also make an excellent band of pirates. Cover their armour in graffiti and let them loose on your adventurers.

If things go well and lots of people download these miniatures, Icarus Games has said that they will consider making more for the range. I hope this happens as it would be great to see all of their past ideas come to fruition!

Do you prefer the Alliance or the Nexus?
