Archon Studios are returning to Kickstarter this July for a new range of plastic terrain, this time designed for use in pen-and-paper RPGs.

This new terrain range, named Dungeons & Lasers, looks to build upon the success of their previous terrain Kickstarter for Rampart, providing modular, plastic terrain that can be clipped together without the need for glue.

The Kickstarter is set to focus on terrain to create both fantasy and sci-fi dungeons.

These will let you create good, multi-use fantasy dungeons or sci-fi corridors, though Archon also have some specialised rooms and areas planned to complement these.

As with the Rampart terrain range, the Dungeons & Lasers pieces have been designed so that they can be clipped together to create a versatile and re-usable system, including creating multiple floors for when you're taking your game to the next level.

My personal favourite element is that, while the terrain does feature a grid for gaming, it is for the most part worked into the design so it doesn't look glaringly out of place.

In Archon's press release, Project Manager Michal Hartlinski said:

"We have previously created plastic terrain for wargamers. Among them, there are many fans who have asked us about something for RPG games. So we have designed our first dungeon since our childhood... We have previously created plastic terrain for wargamers. Among them, there are many fans who have asked us about something for RPG games. The terrain looks perfectly suited for some dungeon-delving adventures. While I personally tend to focus on miniature-less role play games, dungeon delvers offer a far more tactile gaming experience, one that is greatly enhanced by exploring three-dimensional terrain.

Of course, it's not just terrain pieces Archon are bringing out with this Kickstarter as they also have planned a few bonuses in the form of animal companions.

These are set to include both sci-fi and fantasy variants, making sure you are never without some cute companionship, whatever setting you find yourself in.

The Kickstarter is set to launch on July 16th. In the meantime, you can find out more at the Dungeons & Lasers website, also on its Instagram and Facebook pages.
