Build A Gothic Sector Eldar Battlefields With Gale Force Nine
May 12, 2025 by brennon
Gale Force Nine are expanding their Battlefield In A Box range and the Gothic Sector collection with even more pre-painted Sci-Fi terrain for your tabletop wargames. Scaled to match 28mm to 32mm wargames, you can still pre-order the new Eldar range, originally sculpted by War Scenery.

Each of the sets comes with a selection of terrain or one larger piece that you can use for your battlefields in games like Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team and beyond. They are battlefield-ready ready so you just need to crack them out of the box and set them up on the tabletop. No hassle and no painting.
Eldar Scatter Terrain // Gale Force Nine
Currently, the Eldar collection features the Eldar Soul Shrine, Webway Warpgate, Scatter Terrain, Landing Pad, Headquarters, Plasma Generators, Thermo Plasma Generator and Portals. If you're a fan of games like Dawn of War, then maybe you could use these to recreate those classic battlefields.

I picked up a few of the kits from the Legion range and they are really nice. They add solid cover and line of sight blocking terrain to your battlefields and are perfectly suited to battles in the Grimdark future. They would also be excellent for Sci-Fi games like Stargrave, where you want some big, chunky pieces of terrain. You can also get the United Frontier set, which introduces some T'au-esque terrain to build unique battlefields.
Will you be picking up these new terrain pieces for your tabletops?

Most of their stuff looks good but this looks chunky and clunky. Not particularly Eldar. Hard pass.
It looks like toys rather than terrain. Maybe with some weathering it would be ok.
I feel the paintjob on this terrain really doesn’t work. As the others had said: makes them look clunky and toy like. I’m pretty sure a different way to paint them would make them look way better.
Ages 3-7; not recommended for adults.
then again … maybe that’s the current age rating required to ‘enjoy’ GW games ? 😉
It could be GW’s new line of “Baby’s first Eldar” 😀
At first glance, they do look very toy-like. But, to be fair, if someone isn’t into painting, these would probably be a Godsend. Open the box, put them on the table, and your battlefield looks pretty decent.
For a hobbyist, it wouldn’t take long at all to sexy-fy these and really make them pop. A little weathering, some wash, some quick highlights — bingo-bango.
They look straight out of a comic book, which can be a good look.
looks good but I think the colours need flipped. The Dark green against the plastic red looks a bit off and as others have said it looks more like a toy than terrain.
