Warlord Previews Test Of Honour Samurai Miniatures Game

While we're getting stuck into the Dark Age we also want to remind Lloyd that Samurai exist! Well, Warlord Games seems to be in the same boat as they previewed Test Of Honour today.
Test Of Honour will be a small scale skirmish game with between five and twenty models on each side. You will focus the building of your force around a Samurai champion, his loyal followers and a handful of chosen warriors to stand by their side.
Battles are swift and bloody which sounds great for folks trying to fit in games during these hectic modern times. What we do know about the mechanics is that they are based around alternative activation so each warrior behaves as an individual.
There will be plenty of room in the game to explore your growing clan of warriors and take different paths. Will you be an honourable warrior or will you take a darker path of backstabbing and betrayal?

Those are some very nice models.
Warlord do a good job with their rulesets, and I for one will be keen to examine this when it releases
I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for this one! The picture isn’t shown above, but the preview article from Warlord themselves seems to show what look like hard plastic Sohei Warrior-Monks… If this is the case, I’ll be all over those!
They should release a fantasy wargame finally.

These pics are all Wargames Factory minis. There are a few on the Warlord site that seem to be either new additions to the line. The AWI sets had some additions over what WGF had done previously, as did the zombie game minis so it is quite possible either some previously unreleased sprues will now be available or Warlord have added to the range since taking it over. Hi , warlord games are selling old WGF single Samurai and Ashigaru sprues for £4 each, and this is with free postage. I have grabbed a few in advance for this game as when it comes out they may go the same price as project z
This does look like a great game and I’m looking forward to playing it.
Have read the free pdf rules. Looks nice. Not got anything like this in my collection, so I will be buying into this .. 🙂
