The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare in cooperation with North Star Military Figures has a new rule set, Daishō that should be available in approximately one months time.

Front cover

This new rule set is staged in ancient feudal Japan and allows you to field samurai,  ronin, ninjas, monks and any other troop type that would be appropriate for this time period, it is set in a mythical Nippon.

The game is scaled for five to fifteen miniatures per side and should play through in about one hour or so depending on the model count.

Game Table

I know that there are other rule sets available in similar settings, but I have been hearing rumblings about this game and we thought it would have been released before now.

They did have a couple of tables at Salute this year  and I must admit my curiosity has me anxious to get a copy, put into play and do a thorough review for you all.

Do you have what it take to be a Samurai?

"...allows you to field samurai, ronin, ninjas, monks and any other troop type..."
