That cabinet your pop made looks flippin brilliant behind you there mate! 🙂
Thanks very much. My old office “studio” was always a little too dark, I thought. Those LED lights in the cabinet are adjustable (complete with remote control), so I though we could use that as a new interview location. Watching the interview, though, I noticed my web cam was shaking a little bit. I’ll do better than that. Operation Sea Lion articles are now cancelled, I’m instead launching a full-scale tactical deconstruction of Escape to Victory. Twenty articles, the first one will publish today. Moscow, Stalingrad, Alamein, Kursk, Normandy . . . the true turning point of WW2 was on that football field. 😀 😀 Sly Stallone and Pele and Michael Caine! We’d all be speaking German now if it wasn’t for you! 😀

That cobblestone street map is my favorite (4×4 version). So flexible working with Mordenburg scenery, giant graveyard, even some more modern pieces for a WW2 or later village.. A distinct absence of straight lines.

Great show. The current Re-Roll was excellent.
Unless I am very much mistaking, the texture of that mat is actually done by Dave Graffam. He did it as a print and play texture on his own website and later the guys at deepcut used it to make an actual mat of it.
That would explain why he kept popping into my mind!
Another great weekender. Love the idea of merchandise, would buy the dice and token bags for sure.
Love Re-Roll, #3 is very good, love the extra content. Would love to see something like scenarios, etc. for different games.

The Battlesystems stuff is great. I’ve got one set of Shanty and it is an awesome kit.
Escape to Victory 1981. Of course its (one) the greatest WWII movies as its got Michael Caine in it.
And a dude who looks exactly like bobby moore!

Escape to victory is one if those films that might make a good game. Could be some tense moments when the Germans discover your tunnel and proceed to at first probe then investigate it fully

The deep madness minis…I think I need to see a few painted examples to geta sense of them. Otherwise they are just globs of chaosy parts. Variations of the the Thing, basically.
Great Weekender, you guys gel so well together and your enthusiasm is so contagious.
The beasts of war merchandise is a no-brainer. It’s a win win desision. We get quality gear to show off and you get free advertising. Think t-shirts, hoodies, beanies, etc. You work hard to promote other gaming community companies, time to do the same for yourselves.
I’ve had to pullout of backstage for a while due to severe financial issues but will be back once we’re off the skids.
Woven patches would also be a good seller.
You could also do a line of water-slides/decals to add to scenery/buildings,vehicles etc.
@warzan have you perhaps thought about giving a dice bag to your centurions has a thank you/incentive for taking out years subscription finances permitting of course,
Has for me would most definitely purchase b.o.w merchandise maybe getting ahead of myself here but a soft pack b,o,w miniature case would be well just cool 🙂

So stoked @caesar has a Beasts of War Channel – Justin & Dragins always makes me smile. That is worth every pixel. James’ – @oriskany – passion for Second World miniature gaming is amazing. I am always impressed with his knowledge and dedication to bringing this amazing historical period to the tabletop has renewed my boyhood interests in World War Two and some Bolt Actin (and possibly Flames of War) gaming is a very likely goal in the near future. Watching the weekenders a great way to get distracted from painting =]
I know what you mean – my half painted Zombicide BP minis are staring at me accusingly…
It’s the opposite for me. They catalyse my painting by having something gaming related on in the background. Then I find a gaming podcast afterwards to keep the ball rolling (Darker Days Radio perhaps), doesn’t really matter to me if I don’t even play the systems discussed. For me it’s a good way to get a few hours painting in on a weekend.
For your store, how about offering the BoW wound counters that you use in your Kings of War demos?
Did you use the cell shading on the Deep Madness figures? The highlights on them looked a bit too fixed when you rotated them.

The Sealion articles are well timed with the Len Deighton SS GB book being on TV this year on the BBC
Even in NI you can see invasion bunkers there in still one in the corner of Glentorans football ground in Belfast
There has been a couple of programme made about the Home Guard role in the case of a German invasion which is a million miles away from Dads Army
